Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
La Savonniere du Moulin Shaving Soap
RazoRock 400 (Orange) w/Omega Professional Boar
RazoRock German Slant
SuperMax Platinum+ (2)
Puig Quorum Aftershave

Super "double cream" lather from the La Savonniere du Moulin. Lovely!

Second run with this SuperMax Platinum+ and while I got shaved, I have to say it wasn't especially close. The first go was bob-on, clean and smooth. Second, was wanting. I've read that this particular (now discontinued) blade is a bit of a one shot shave. It's certainly nowhere near the current crop of SuperMax blades.

Still, good enough shave.

Pre: Wright's coal tar soap and cold water.
Soap: Stirling Glacial Mageritas in the Artic.
Brush: Frank's Shaving badger brush.

Head
Razor: Leaf razor
Blades: Derby Black SE

Face
Razor: Twig Aggressive
Blades: Leafs own.

Post
Mentholated witchhazel
Stirling Glacial Unscented balm

A few new bits in over the last couple of weeks, put to the test this evening. Cold water shave with the Stirling was quite the experience. Twig aggressive was great, got rid of four days growth in a few quick and clean strokes. Leaf was as quick and easy on the head as normal. Balm was nourishing. Had a slight glow on the cheeks for a while after so will probably not use so much menthol in one go again. Lesson learned.

I looked at the setup prior to reading the rest of your post, and thought "Ooh, that's going to be a bit fresh";)

This afternoon -

razor - Karve alu - C plate
blade - Nacet (2)
brush - Frank Shaving 22mm two-band
soap - OSP - Bay Rum
post - witch hazel
a/s - 4711
balm - none
scent - Eau Sauvage edp.

I had my first face to face work meeting today - since? Can't remember. Nothing as formal as an interview, but not far off. Auto-pilot - need to tidy myself up - nicely shaved and smelling good. I bloody hurt myself - nothing serious - a bit of a graze - allum stopped it. I can't recall the last time I drew claret - but when it is important not to? It always happens that way. I was getting a bit stressed about this until I suddenly remembered - your face from the nose down will be covered - idiot. I smelled nice. Enjoy your shaving - one and all - cheers - I.

My shave themed 'Knackered'

A shave brought to you after one real pig of a night which drifted (in a violent sort of drift) in to this afternoon. The only highlight being this shave and this finale.....

A welcome razor - Stainless Colonial General
You're my best friend - Feather Super Professional
What love - Yaqi Dandelion
I want to hug you - Extro Arancia

A superb and inner warming shave which gave me some solstice in the middle of organised chaos.

Everyone needs a Zen moment
Sorry love it is Satan's day every day here

So what can we have to round this shave off? It just has to be Aldious this evening and 'Sweet temptation'. Great song and a great video

Amazing how physical meetings have become so elevated @Digimonkey . I feel your perturbation - first face to face this year with my boss last week and despite the fact I'm currently encouraged to work from home, I still felt a fraud for not driving all over the UK as I was pre-Covid or visiting the office weekly. This is not the new normal, but the old one won't be either.

Prep: Shower with Menthol PAA cube.

Pre: Menthol PAA cube.

Soap: A&E Barbiere Sofisticato

Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia.

Razor: Homelike Start 0.9 blade gap

Blade: Astra SP

Post: Alum, L’Oréal barbershop aftershave balm.
This was my first day with the homelike start and wow what a great razor. I love the weight of it, the handle grip fantastic and the shave was super smooth. It felt solid at every pass and though it didn’t feel like I was taking enough growth of at first by the end it gave me one of the best BBS shaves I’ve had in a long while.
