Brilliant Shave today & what a difference holding a work of art rather than a modern piece that no one really likes.
Gillette Superspeed birth year 66 for me and i wasn’t disappointed,
a first time use & enjoyed it thoroughly.
The blade was my now go to blade when trying anything new the Gillette 7 o’clock yellow, very mild and seems to work in just about every razor if tried. I wanted something traditional today however working in Norway i’m limited to what i have here so i went for the mammoth Hygge purely because of the old barbershop scent.
i have to say i loved this Superspeed and initial thoughts are it’s better than the slim but i guess i’ll need to plod on to find the proper combinations for them.

I have only used one of the 'New' blades, but this one clearly did not have quite the durability of the P74 or Light Brigade, giving me 20 smooth, easy shaves rather than their 24. But an excellent blade nonetheless. The tobacco soap is getting toward its end, so I'll need to order some more soaps from Manuel. I have completely given up on the idea of using up all my soaps and creams before I die, so I may as well buy what I like and enjoy it while I can.

Another sound shave from this Laser Ultra, a triple coated stainless blade from the Malhotra house. I did feel it dulling towards the end of the shave. Bear in mind that this is in single edge format, in double edge that's a 2-3 shaves rather than a 3-4. So, a "one and done" really ...

Still, sound shave.
 
This Friday evening brought my last SOTD for this week and with it the theme 'The joy of writing in the correct direction'

A grammatically correct shave. Not as though I know what that means but it did save several hours of writing backwards. Several hours more than the shave itself.

Today’s shave was a particularly late one had a really difficult day..had my dog of nearly 16 years put to sleep, she has been with us through an awful lot including surviving a house fire on Christmas Day very sad day but finished with a beautiful shave so this one was is dedicated to her..one of the nicest creatures to grace this earth she really was a gem

So sorry for your loss. I've outlived two dogs so far, and eventually will lose at least one more. All three were and are the loves of my life. Sadly it's what happens when we choose animal companions that we will outlive. But I truly belive that there is no better friend in the world than a dog.
