Part of my regime is the clean up process; and all hardware is washed thoroughly and dried by hand. Even the razors sit outside the drawer overnight. I can understand threads etc. failing if our cutlery isn't looked after...

Absolutely. I have a principle of looking after everything I ever owned and from the school of thought which says 'If you look after something, it will look after you'.

Good evening everyone. I hope you're all well.

Soap - TOBS Coconut
Razor - Progress (2)
Brush - Yaqi Timberwolf
Blade - Sputnik #4
Post - Proraso Blue
Splash - Le Pere Lucien

A fine effort tonight, I was a little concerned tonight after using an MDC sample soap for last nights shave. No concerns now though. A great lather with the Timberwolf and I'm left with a face feeler. FD8C90C8-3047-4589-A75E-A55AD6685DC4.jpeg

French Pink Clay & Charcoal Face Soap
Butters Sandalwood Shaving Soap
hjm Professional (Boar)
RazoRock German Slant
SuperMax Blue Diamond Titanium (3)
LEA Classic Aftershave

I'm going to have to leave my fondness for this blade in memory ...

The SuperMax Blue Diamond Titanium was the first blade I really clicked with and held it as my "go to" blade before jumping over to single edge. Years on, I'm trying it again and it just doesn't fit with what I want from a blade any more. It's smooth but it's not sharp. I've needed to make two passes to achieve what I can from a single pass with any number of other blades, even with a slant!

The after effects feel really nice and regrowth is easy. I'm not a multi-pass shaver and like to get done in one. For folks who do and who are experienced traditional shavers, you'll probably find it a middling blade; for me, it's sub-par. 6/10 dropped from 8/10. Still, I find it a tick above the current SuperMax Blue Diamond Platinum, which I rated at 5/10 finding the shave harsh, inconsistent and with irritable regrowth.

First proper go with the LEA Classic Aftershave and I find it okay. It remains wet and clammy for a good while after applying, something I find with a lot of European splashes, but nowhere near as bad as Myrsol. Horrific stuff, that! Get me! Contentious?

In all, three okay shaves ... the better ones were probably so because of the soap and aftershave combo.

Yes @TobyC , the razors are complete, the problem is new blades do not fit over the cap posts ( the posts are Masshoove), its pre-Gillette "fits all" razors blades, i have some Myatt blades and shaved with one, bad bad experience. So to use them its frankenrazor only, either that or grind one side them down and make them into Half blade SE's:eek:.
I do not understand.

No they don't.
It is quite that simple.
The posts are exactly the same size and shape of the Myatt Daymark blade.
Far too big to take a new DE blade.
They are cheap enough. Get one and try it out. You can try to cut the holes there is a chance of warping the blade and they don't always sit correctly.

Can't find one, only the little teeny ones.
