Greetings,

Early morning shave.

Last shift of 2020 at the mill then i'm furloughed until the 11th January 2021 after a meeting yesterday morning with our new inept text book theory micro-management team. Not the best of circumstances but i don't scorn it because i still have a job and a income coming in to start 2021, which lots of unfortunate people no longer have. How long my job will last next year remains to be seen.'I'll cross that bridge when i come to it'...This covid 19 madness has taught us all to take nothing for granted anymore as the vast majority of people did, 'including myself' before it spread it's epidemic upon us...Enough said.

It's a very substantial much needed break to be honest, which i will use to recharge my body & mind and catch up on a few DIY projects i need to do for myself & family.

I get great enjoyment shaving with all of my slant razors, but this year the Parker 55SL has become my favourite...Each blade i have paired it together with has been comfortable and acceptable to date. The Gillette winner yet again is no exception.

The humble 'Turkish Delight' Arko shave stick never fails to provide a slick protective lather in a short space of time, love it or hate it....The performance from this humble inexpensive shave stick is amazingly good...I consider myself fortunate that it doesn't dry out my skin when i use it.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable/near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Arko Comfort ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

AS-Witch Hazel

*First use of this soap and very impressed with it. Probably a favourite of the wedding cake impersonators!
*This Hiram has been at the back of the cupboard for a while. Very pleasant to use it reminds me of a Cobra which I've had for years.
Glad you liked it

Well, well, well, I like this soap, it lathers easily, covers nicely and offers good protection and slickness.
All in all a very enjoyable, comfortable shave today. BBS from 3 passes with no issues. The post shave matching well with the soap.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Gillette Slim Adjustable (4)
Łódź Polsilver (4)
P&B Night Witch
Semogue TSN L.E.
Humphrey's witch hazel
Old Spice (Indian) a/s lotion

P&B's Night Witch is the closest scent match I've found to the old Shulton recipe Old Spice, in any of the tribute soaps that I've tried. Excellent performance as usual. Finished off with a generous application of Indian Old Spice, which is is very close to the original Shulton Old Spice, as I remember it, from grabbing a dab or two of my uncle's bottle as a kid.

So - note to self - never start a sentence with a conjunction
Sadly, starting a sentence with "So," is very common these days. All the best with the retraining. I always thought I was smart combining photography with my main job as a musician. Both have gone due to COVID19. I have managed to pick up work at the local church playing the organ, despite being a bass player! Luckily with extra services due to reduced numbers allowed in, they've put extra services on.

By the time all this goes away and you're retrained, you photo job will probably be available again.

I was out early (for me) to record some festive music for the local church. A brisk, yet pleasurable shave. I'm getting used to the Outlaw razor, a two pass shaver as they claim, it definitely isn't. It's loud which lets you know it's working. If It wasn't it would probably feel quite smooth. To me the noise takes away the feeling of smoothness. Yeah, that sounds contradictory.

Quick Shave before taking wife to A&E, stumbled on stairs and jarred knee.
Lovely Xmas present- fractured kneecap, leg in splint. After a few weeks will be assessed to see if op is needed.
Think I may be getting a few Ready Meals in, and probably not lingering around Shaving forums Did I say the Shave was good.
