Cold Water Shave
Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap
Proraso Green Pre Shave
Proraso Green Shaving Cream
Semogue 2000 Boar Brush
Turkish Copper Bowl
RazoRock Black Hawk V2 with a Generic Chinese Blade
Alum and Rinse
Witch Hazel
Alcolado Glacial and 444 Gel Mix

Struggling a bit with the camera and colour temperature. My Canon just stopped so I had to move backwards and use a camera with older technology.
Three passes for a Face Feeling Finish. I was my first use of the Chinese blade so it is early days to make a proper judgement on their performance

P. - that's a synthetic knot? - paint me purple and call me Susan. Before reading the caption I just assumed it was badger - I've never got on with synth brushes - grudgingly I use a Satin Tip for travel - but the issue may need to be revisited - things have moved on somewhat? I just ordered one of their U-Brushes - handsome handle - with a Silk Smoke knot - we shall see - well enabled - thank you - cheers - I.

Hi Iain, yes it's the SilkSmoke 28mm knot . I've only tried a handful of synthetic brushes and I find them to be ,well - Synthetic in face feel and a bit on the soft side for me.Thirty five years of shaving with boar and badger brushes, they are my preference. The SilkSmoke is the best out of the synths I've lathered with.

Good luck with your new brush when it arrives and yes ,a handsome handle indeed.

Cheers, Pat

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Phoenix and Beau Pall Mall
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Gillette Spoiler (3)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, CRSW American Barbershop Aftershave
Scent: Farina Original 1709 EdC

A sumptuous shave - the Gillette Spoiler really does pair well with the Wolfman. Three passes for a DFS+.
My first shave with the P&B Pall Mall soap. I must thank those esteemed gentlemen @Barry Giddens and @Boru62 for this recommendation. You were spot on, lads (y). Typical for the P&B brand, the soap was very easy to lather and provided excellent performance. I really like the scent - it immediately reminded me of two other soaps in my den, they being Cold River Soap Works Glide Barbiere Sapone and Declaration Grooming Colonia Balsamica. I pulled these soaps out after the shave and did a side-by-side sniff test. Whilst all have similar dominant citrus notes, the distinguishing feature of Pall Mall is a balancing earthiness, similar to Spitfire but much subtler.
The classic and original Kölnisch Wasser, produced by the good folk at Farina since 1709, was a lovely match for the Pall Mall soap scent.

Pre - Soap Free Face Wash
Brush - Omega 11819 (24mm/55mm unbleached boar)
Soap - Vitos Green
Razor - Yaqi DOC
Blade - Gillette Platinum (7)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

3rd shave with the Omega 11819 and I'm liking it more. It's a bit on the floppy side but still has a little bit of exfoliation, but I'm really impressed with how efficient the brush is, well not as efficient as a synth but more so than most if not all the other boar brushes I have owned. Today it seemed to produce a very impressive lather with the Vitos Green, which isn't the slickest of the Vitos soaps but slick enough but has the most cushion of the 3. A very good combination with the Yaqi DOC and Gillette Platinum as well, produced very good results with this particular blade once again.

Anyway chaps, have a good start to the week.

1st Shave with the Schick L1 injector thanks to @RussellR5555
An early afternoon shave with the Schick L1 loaded with a Proline. I seemed to have a familiar recollection holding this razor?
I decided on a face lather with the fantastic Culmak plus and the OSP spice road, very nice,
During the 1st pass i picked up 2 tiny nicks, 1 on my cheeck and 1 on my neck quite early on in the shave? i've got it, i am using it like a cart, i have not used a cart for over 6 yrs, but that's what it is, i think because of the plastic handle, i was being flippant and going too quickly. That's easily sorted and the rest of the shave went well.
3 Full passes with great face lathers between each pass. BBS.
Very little from the block and a splash of cold water then witch hazel. I rehydrated with the lovely Barts Moroccan Amber and Jasmine Balm and oil.
A splash of OSP spice road to continue the spicy them. Just dandy.
Have a great afternoon all.

Personna Super S/S SE.
Personna coated [ 5 ]
Jaguar Prestige A/D Lotion

I seem to be on a roll of good Injector Shaves, this time with a Razor that never worked for me. Then on a whim I loaded it with a Personna, since then I have had excellent Shaves with it, and it should figure in rotations rather than staying in a drawer.

The Timeless just doesn't make the cut any more, at least not as it did before. All that of course changed after I started using the Paradigm SE Ti.

While I will try the 0.68mm solid bar scalloped Ti baseplate, the situation will ultimately change when I lay hands on a Raw RS-10....

Prep : warm water
Razor : Ying Ili
Brush : MÜHLE boar
Blade : Wilkinson Sword
Soap : Palmolive classic shaving cream
Bowl : Aliexpress (MÜHLE look-a-like)

Today I picked the Ying Ili for the 2nd time. Again it amazed how smooth and effective this cheap razor is (€1,66 incl. shipping).
