Builds are convenient but usually well bloated with stuff you'll never use and or doesn't work, if it's just for TV & films you only need a few addons like Exodus, Salts, Velocity & Phoenix if that and Robocop Ultimate for footie if that's your thing.

You're probably right. It just seemed like the easy option late last night once I got it working. Salts and exodus were there and I don't really watch sports. Unless there's a ladies beach volleyball channel [emoji6]

Once you know what to use and like you could use Ares just as an add-on installer.

There's a tweek on Areswizard you can do to reduce buffering....have a look at Hope it helps, A

I'm looking for advice whether it's worth trying to re-install Kodi on a R Pi? It's the B version so a lot more clunky than the latest version. We did have it running with xbmc etc running, but haven't played with it recently.

^No idea Bert but I haven't come across anybody contributing to this thread that uses one to run Kodi, you may have to seek assistance at a Pi forum.

I've just enabled url blocking on my router which has suddenly made the browser on the smart tv far more usable. I think I'll do without Kodi for now.

I run my Kodi on a pi, no sure what version I've got.
