Double posting

Damn! I just deleted the duplicate post then I read this. Oh well Boab, I'm sure it won't be the first time your humour is lost on the world...

People who are hate other nationalities without explanation. And the French.

Do I detect a hint of Austin Powers there?

The Christmas M&S advert.
It's bad enough that X Factor has invaded the Christmas number one every sodding year whether we want it or not. Now M&S have sold their souls to Simon Cowell.

I never thought I'd say this but I miss Twiggy.

Interviewees on the radio who start every sentence with the word "So".
Conceited baby-faced millionaire politicians.
Split infinitives.
People who don't know the difference between an implication and an inference.
Jonathan Dimbleby.
People who say "less" when they mean "fewer".
Middle managers who have been promoted far beyond their abilities and believe that they deserve respect.
Use of the word "iconic" in any context other than Byzantine or Russian Orthodox art.
Political journalists who think they're literary critics.
BBC spokespeople who are never in the wrong.
"The Archers".
Incorrectly dimensioned architects' drawings.
Johnny-Come-Lately environmentalists.
Nigella Lawson, and her dad for that matter.
Mariella Frostrup.
Recent English "literary" fiction.
Alan f*cking Titchmarsh.
Inconsiderate road users.
Jeremy Clarkson, and equally, people who take him at face value.
James Naughtie.
DAB radio.
Stephen Fry.
Badly compiled cryptic crosswords.
Modern razor blades.
Weak espresso.
Pimply, cocksure sales assistants.
Bloody people.

...

Scratching the surface here, Jamie. For a short reply, ask what doesn't annoy me.

One of the reasons that I come to places like this, is to escape from the stuff I don't like, and trust me, there's plenty of it.

"Set" menus that someone else has already decided for, when I go out for business lunch or dinner.

Restricted seat space all around and also baggage weight restrictions when flying Economy class.

Some very chuckleworthy posts here.

Too many to list but, this week in particular:

Hotel toaster 'conveyor belts' where the first trip round just warms the bread (so you place it in again) and the second trip round charcoals it and sets it on fire.

Why can't they do a test run before putting the fecking thing out!

Things that annoyed me, but don't anymore:

- Facebook (been without it for over a year, don't miss it)
- Stupid TV programs (been without a TV for 8 years now)
- Driving, and people that can't park (Selling my car as we speak)

What still drives me mad..

- People asking me to fix their computer, and then 3 days laters it's full of spyware again. Now I just tell the ones I don't want to fix that I only do Mac.

- Shop assistants, no I don't need help, and if I do I'll find you, stop hassling me!

- Gossip, no I don't care what so and so did, it's none of my business, get a life!

- Anti piracy warnings that last forever on DVDs and can't be skipped.

- People wanting to skip ahead in the queue at the supermarket because they; have only a few items, have a dying elderly at home, are dying or in a hurry. I don't care, if you ask it's no, I might have offered if you hadn't asked.

I think that's all I can come up with for now, but I'm sure I can find others!

Not much winds me up but I guess what does boils down to selfishness.

Liars (see selfishness)
Idiots on the road (see selfishness)
Smokers who see it as their right to make me breath their stench (see selfishness)

As well as everything everyone else has said:
People who complain about how cold it is in the office (put a jumper on, it's boiling - what can I do about it being too hot?)
Graffiti (possibly my biggest gripe at the moment - really gets under my skin)
Taking out a perfectly good roundabout to put in multiple traffic lights when there is a perfectly good zebra crossing less than 100 yards away.
When walking on your own, people who walk alongside eachother and force you to stop to allow all two/three/four/more of them to pass. They usually are or appear to be completely oblivious to this. If I can I will force my way through, but I have actually been struck by people in the shoulder several times (and no, an "excuse me" doesn't always work)
People who put their feet on their opposite train seats. This seems to be pretty common these days and isn't always young kids of a hoodie persuasion.
People who dordle or stop suddenly when you are walking behind them.
People at work who are your boss (or your bosses' boss) who promise things which you then have to deliver without consulting you first, then you try to deliver even though you have told them before it won't work how they want it and in the timeframe they give you.

Stay indoors with the radio and TV off. Avoid newspapers and people. That should help.

People who wander out of shops without looking, causing me to do an emergency stop in my wheelchair as they wander across towards the kerb utterly oblivious that they've inconvenienced anyone.

On a similar line to NotTheStig, council Highway Departments that insist on placing a pelican crossing within 50 yards of a roundabout.

Idiotic people who write letters to the local paper moaning about disabled people getting preferential treatment, as if anyone with a disability actually WANTED to be disabled just so they could annoy that sort of person.
