Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented).
OSP Barbershop Aftershave Tonic.
Lavender Balm by @neilbart.

I love everything about The General. I must have one! That was a tremendous shave.
Really pleased to hear you are liking the General Barry.
It is a beast of a razor. :)

Tonight's shave

Proraso Red pre shave
Blues Soap
Yaqi 24mm Tuxedo
EJ DE89L
Wilkinson Sword old stock 2
Lavender witch hazel mixture
Proraso Green ASL
Joop EDT

Two days growth taken down in three passes.
My second shave with this razor after not using it for a couple of months and I don't feel connected to it like I do my Rockwell or my Merkur razors.
Extra buffing needed on the cheeks and under jaw line not as smooth as it could be.
I don't think I'll be using this razor again any time soon.
Everything else about my shave was spot on so I can't really be too disappointed.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage 1964 rebranded Macys very soft and fluffy silvertip flopmeister
new to me 1960 Fatboy/Gillette Spoiler NOS 1981
vintage Old Spice shaving soap
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Creed 'Santal Imperial' EdP

This morning was the second shave with my latest razor acquisition and so far it's just not quite fit me as I prefer it to. Doesn't miss by much but it's........it's not like the 59's which are my favorites as a rule. Something about that E year when they're in good shape.

BBS results,

Martin

Prep: Hot shower and L'oreal charcoal wash
Razor: ATT R1
Razor blade: Rapira Platinum
Brush: Zenith Manchurian
Soap: Fine Italian Citrus
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Fine Italian Citrus A/S

Belter of a shave tonight. The Zenith Brush is starting to show real promise. Firm backbone and holds a load of lather. 3 passes with touch-ups plus I took a load from the brush after I'd finished to massage into my face. I didn't need to go back to the bowl once.

The Fine soap is really stunning. It performs brilliantly on all levels.

Finished off with matching aftershave. Although I always get more sting than another of the Fine afershaves, the scent is class and the face feel is still the best I've found so far.

Well it's nearly Friday so it's enough of an excuse to tag this stunning song to my post...

Cheers
Rob

Razor: Charcoal Goods Lvl 2 SB Magnum
Blade: GSB (3)
Brush: WW 'Bishop'
Soap: Barrister's Reserve Lavender
Post: Thayers' Witch Hazel Lemon
Frag: Chatillon Lux Lavande Poivre EdT

The Reserve Lavender from Barrister & Mann is absolutely superb, hands down one of the best scents I've had the pleasure of smelling. The Reserve formula is also superb and gave me an easy 2-pass BBS. Will be grabbing some tomorrow for sure once it's available. @chatillonlux Lavande Poivre EdT is also extremely impressive. I am not a lavender guy but I do appreciate great scents and these two did me right.
