Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Face Wash and Proraso Green
Razor: iKon 101 + OSS Handle
Blade: Treet Platinum (#2)
Brush: Maseto 2 band finest 24mm
Cream: La Toja
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm

A great shave today, the Treet Platinum blade seems very sharp and it worked well in the iKon 101. I find the 101 can be fussy about blades but this seems a good pairing. I only needed 2 passes and the result was great.

Prep: Floid Preshave

Soap: Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia 4.3
Razor: Blackbird SB on 85mm handle

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

unknown old plexi handle 2 band silvertip.... more a slightly yellow tip actually
1940 Regent Tech (early US Aristocrat)
older Coates lime SC
Neutrogena oil free moisture
no EdT for some reason I don't know about I guess

Second shave with this razor and yep, it's a bit more aggressive than a usual later model Aristocrat/Diplomat. Feel the blade a little more on my face but certainly easy to handle. Just not quite a perfect fit is all. Something to clean up and put away for a while.

BBS results,

Martin

Prep: Warm shower with L'Oreal charcoal face wash.
Pre: King of Shaves pre shave oil.
Razor: Muhle Rocca
Razor blade: Gillette Nacet
Brush: Thater 4125/3 (2 Band)
Soap: Fine Italian citrus
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Fine Italian citrus.

A much improved shave from the Rocca. The Nacet wasn't as smooth as the Gillette Platinum but worked well.
I struggled to reduce the stubble until I went ATG though.
There was a Eureka moment when I was playing around with the cutting angle under my chin. You have to hold the razor handle a lot further away from your face than you would normally but it seemed to work well.

Cheers
Rob
I love the Rocca, a great razor. I had a similar experience with the Gilette Nacet's - not as smooth as the Silver Blues.
