Tuesday

With a couple of days beard to shift, out came the slant.

Mitchell's Wool Fat
New Forest Tubby 2
iKon Slant/Weber Bulldog
Voskhod
Pinaud Vanilla AS

A fine job it did too. The Tubby 2 really is a fantastic brush, great for soaps and creams, bowl or face. BBS results

Tuesday 10th December

Brush: NF Tubby 2
Cream: TOBS Rose
Razor: EJ89 Barley
Blade: Sputnik, single shim
Post: Witch hazel, Blue Stratos.

A very good shave, and a much better lather than I've had in the past from this cream.

Prep: Hot shower, followed by Neutrogena Razor Defense Face Scrub
Pre: Village Barber oil
Cream: TOBS "Mr. Taylor"
Brush: unbranded Butterscotch 20mm Silvertip
Razor: E&J DE89 w/iKon bulldog handle
Blade: Personna Lab blue (2)
Post: Osma alum block
ASB: Sir Irisch Moos balm

First time using this TOBS cream and SIM balm. The Mr. Taylor cream has a VERY mild scent. I would go so far as to say it is unscented (or very nearly). Good cushion and glide. The Moos balm was very soothing and absorbed quickly with no greasy feeling. Bit of a menthol kick (didn't expect that!). Overall very nice BBS.

Golden Nib 2-band badger knot / Vulfix Grosvenor handle
Valobra Stick (grated)
Weber Polished / Bulldog
Personna Lab Blue (1)
Clinique Post-Shave Healer, Clinique M-Lotion
Lalique Hommage a l'Homme EdT

Clean shaven and ready for dinner :)

Missed a few posts due to pesky computer problems... but today's scrape gives the gist of what I've been up to..

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, menthol
Muhle Silvertip, Nanny's hard soap, Cedarwood & Vetyver
Digress HD (#2.5), Rapira SS (1)
Cold splash
Proraso AS cream

Some very good and consistent shaves (especially today's)
Yes... I've bought a Muhle Silvertip synthetic brush... 23mm knot and "horn" handle. I think it's bloody marvellous! Tried it with creams, soft soaps and hard soaps... and might give it a bash with MWF tomorrow. Buy one, everybody!

Well Steve you've convinced me, I've been Umming & arring about this brush for a while. Order will be placed on Friday when I'm in funds!

Evening chaps

Pre: Tea tree soap
Razor: R41
Blade: gillette black
Brush: Semogue 2012 LE
Cream: Body Shop Macca Root
Georgetown Pottery Scuttle
Post: everything

Loving the new GT scuttle, especially the pewter stopper (it's the little things!)

First shave with R41 - Christonabike - goodbye stubble, hello jaw bone. Hence throwing every balm in the basket at face. That said, 2 passes for BBS and normally take 3.

Hot shower & 3P
Omega 10065
MWF
dodgy pass around Schick
Personna injector blade (1)
Aqua Velva AS

The fat is working well I think it's the boar brush that is allowing enough soap to be picked up for a great lather, face lathered today with this brush that still needs breaking in.

Personna blade was much better in the Schick than what I remember in the PAL
