Top class enjoyable shave. I tried the custom brush with the 'Fat' today whipped up a slick lather with no difficulty in the scuttle.
 
Oh aye, I did have a shave yesterday for the first time in four days.

I most heartily wish I could buy Simpsons knots to put into the odd wooden brush handle that I carve for as good as TGN's and others are, they are not Simpsons Best Badger, whose density and particular texture are simple perfection for mine own requirements. I have rediscovered my love of the BiC which is just as well as I have at least another 300 of the blighters. As for today, my hands were much too shaky and I much to sedated to attempt stubble slicery. Perhaps my new brogues will arrive tomorrow, give cheer and tip my hand?

My 3rd DE save and the best shave I have EVER had.

Prep: Hot Water/Real Shaving Co Daily Scrub/Hot Flannel/Proraso Pre & Post Shave Cream
Razor: Bluebeards Scimitar
Blade: Feather
Brush: Bluebeards Pure Badger
Cream: Bluebeards Shave Cream
Post: Proraso Pre & Post Shave Cream and a bit of Bluebeards Post Shave Balm
Aftershave: Drakkar Noir

Biggest difference with last nights technique was to use my free hand to "stretch" the areas to be shaved. Seemed to iprove the overall quality no end.

Testing our very own Fox's trial sample of his "Master Lather, Unscented" soap. Day 1.

I actually did a test lather yesterday and found out that a little goes a looong way, so this morning I used a smallish almond sized splodge and put it in my bowl to generate lather.
Long story short, the lather was extraordinary in the way it exploded in volume, did not collapse (after 30 mins) and provided a lovely protective and conditioning feel.

Result another tick for the Slim and a bigger tick for Mr. Fox.

The Stirling lather was weak in comparison to the Vitos I've been using daily since December. Hopefully it'll improve with use. I think I'll set my mixed badger-boar on it tomorrow to give it a bit of a fright.

face lathered today and created a good lather from the super smooth - 3 passes dialling down the fatboy each time resulted in a BBS. The soap and the a/s compliment each other wonderfully. Very satisfied :)

PS - to all the posters adding photos - put some up in the SOTD calender thread! It's the last day to submit for the January.
