Pre: Village Barber oil
Cream: TOBS "Eton College"
Brush: Orchid Isles 24mm Silvertip on Curly Koa handle
Razor: ATT R-2 head on iKon handle
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post: Thayer's Lemon witch hazel
AS: Marks & Spencer "Woodspice"
I was apprehensive on trying this new OC head from ATT but halfway through the 1st pass my fears disappeared. This is an awesome razor! Great blade feedback and BBS in 2 passes with zero irritation and only a single scare.
But don't underestimate the blade exposure! A lapse of concentration caused me to remove a 1mm x 1mm chunk of skin from my upper lip. Luckily my Secret Santa sent me a tube of Proraso styptic gel which stopped the bleeding on contact.
So far I'm very impressed with this razor.
Oh, first time using this brush on a live-fire (test lathers all week have been impressive). It's still got some scritch but is shaping into a very comfortable marshmallow of a brush which will be ideal for bowl-lathering creams. The handle design is the most comfortable (for me).
