Monday

Morning, all.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Sodial/Rimei
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave cream: Trumper's Almond
Aftershave: Ricardo's L'Homme, Black
Cologne: Versace Black Jeans

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row badger
1934 type Aristocrat/Super Iridium
Xpec SC
Myrsol Emulsion
Jacomo de Jacomo EdT (think oakmoss and patchouli)

My favorite open comb called to me this morning. Gotta be one of the mildest OC types, and certainly one of the nicest looking US made razors. Very smart using this today.

BBS results,

Martin

Prep- Hot Towel
Shave Soap- MdC Unscented
Brush- SOC
Razor- Murkur Futur, Murkur Platinum
WTGx2, ATGx1 on neck
Post Shave- Trumpers Coral Skinfood

Result- Decent shave but had to pass again just under chin on higher setting (5). Still breaking in SOC brush, sucks up soap lather made in shave mug.

Received this in the mail last week. Honed and Stropped minimal work needed. (Always a surprise when these 10$ razors work out!).
Any one know the maker??? The only mark is a logo that looks like a square inkwell and a quill pen.[attachment=10113][attachment=10114]????

Dove face wash
L Occitane Cade shaving cream
Edwin Jagger Chatsworth ebony synthetic bristle shaving brush
Personna red label blade
Merkur 25c open comb razor
L Occitane Cade aftershave balm.

Normally the 25c is my second razor, which I use only occasionally. But I'm going to be using it more regularly. A nice smooth and close shave.

Aleppo soap - Simpson Somerset Duke 3 best badger - Feather all stainless - Iridium Super #3 - Pre JASÖN - Shaving soap Tiki The Captain - Alum block - Thayers Cucumber Toner - ASB Nivea Sensitive - ASL Honeybee Gardens Bay Rum.

Nice, quick shave this morning. Second attempt with the Gillette Shaving Cream and had a much better experience than first time round - it definitely appreciates a touch of water. A few drips extra an it exploded (not literally, or else I wouldn't be typing this).

Proraso pre / post
Gillette Shaving Cream, palm lathered with my NF2211
DE89 / Rapira Supersteel
Myrsol Antesol Aftershave
Proraso Balm

Very pleasant shave, no irritation and a good result.

Cold water splash
Mitchell's Wool Fat, bowl lathered with a pea-sized amount of Palmolive cream
Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger
Weber PH Bulldog
Polsilver PI (4)
Clinique Post-Shave Healer

Close and smooth shave. Top drawer today :)

T&H Sandalwood face lathered
Simpsons Pure Badger
Gillette Old Type Pocket Edition
Gillette Super Thin (2)
Cold rinse, alum and WH
TOBS Bay Rum
T&H Sandalwood balm
Quorum EDT

I love this razor now. I got it when I first started DE shaving and having had a crap shave, it was laid to rest in a drawer. A couple of years on I decided to have a shave with it and with improved technique and better blade choice it was shaving heaven. Effortless BBS regardless of how much or little growth I have.

Remarkably these scents layer really well too.

Hot shower
Hot flannel
Jabonman Citricos scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Slim Twist gold
Polsilver super iridium (3)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Myrsol Lemon aftershave

A fine Citrus themed shave.

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: P.160 (Tipo Morbido)
Brush: Custom 782sirbrian brush, Oak with WSP HMW
Razor: Gillette Black Beauty (6-4-3)
Blade: NOS (UK) Wilkinson Sword (1)
Post: CK Obsession ASL, followed by Village Barber balm

My birthday shave! I pulled out all the good stuff today. My O-2 birth-qtr razor and my "birthday" brush with a vintage blade. I really love this razor/blade combo. Effortless 3-pass BBS. The P.160 soap is really nice. I could get used to this.
