Aleppo soap - Rodney Neep Extra Silvertip 26X50 - Merkur 25C - Iridium Super #2 - Pre JASÖN - Shaving soap Tiki The Captain - Alum block - Thayers Cucumber Toner - ASB Korres - ASL Honeybee Gardens Vermont.

Prep: hot shower, Bulldog face wash
Pre: Droyt's original glycerin soap, Proraso green pre/post
Razor: Merkur 34C
Blades: Dorco ST-301, courtesy of the good sir Wales4Ever
Soap: GFT coconut
Brush: Proraso x Omega 48 boar
Post: cold water wash, alum block, Cerruti 1881 post-shave balm

3 pass shave: WTG, XTG, reverse XTG

By far my best shaving experience to date: comfortable, close and no weepers - true BBS bliss!

The only issue I had was that the GFT soap, while producing a nice dense lather, seemed to dry out way before I could complete the shave, thus requiring frequent re-lathering. Any idea why this may be / what I could do to prevent it?
Admittedly, I did take my sweet time shaving. Nonetheless, I would expect better from a soap with a GFT pedigree.

As I've just achieved my first truly BSS I believe I am now qualified to take part.

Shower
Olive oil preshave
Alphy&Becks ylang-ylang soap*
Muhle HJM
Merkur Slant and Sputnik blade... thanks to Ian M
Alum washed off with Witch Hazel
Proraso Green...the one product that I will use even if I go back to cartridges.
Alphy&Becks Egyptian Prince Balm...this is very nice, absorbs well and smells lovely.
Eucris EDT...because I'm worth it :)

BTW, does anyone else's bathroom look like an explosion in a soap factory after shaving?

*not sure about this, I may be sensitive to ylang-ylang as there was a little burny sensation, also the lather was full of micro bubbles and died in the bowl. I needed to rescue with Erasmic for passes 3&4.

Edwin Jagger de86
Racer
Wilkinson Sword brush
Wilkinson Sword blue tub soap
Superdrug forest fresh.

Nearly a supermarket shave. Pretty much the same as my first ever DE shave nearly 2 years on. Great way to see how much your technique has changed since that first shave.

Great close, comfortable shave and pretty much costing next to nowt. Part of me wishes I never found out about other products (OK not really)

Easy: Use more water in the lather mix.
