Thursday

Afternoon, everybody.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Lidl's Cien Men two-blade cartridge
Blade: Cartridge (4)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave cream: Erasmic Supreme
Aftershave: Aqua Quorum
Cologne:

Cold water splash
Martin de Candre Unscented
Vulfix 404 handle w/ TGN 22mm Finest Badger knot
ATT M2 Kronos
Voskhod (3)
Clinique Post-Shave Soother
Acqua de Parma Colonia

2-pass cold water shave plus a few touch-ups. Not as close I would like but should see me through till tomorrow.

Pre: Proraso green pre-shave cream
Soap: Wet Shaving Products unscented "prototype"
Brush: M&F Chief, 26mm blonde badger
Razor 1: Peter Hahn 3/8 "Little Buddy"
Razor 2: Ikon OSS
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock green (3)
Post: Thayer's Lemon witch hazel, followed by Captain's Choice Bay Rum

WSP testing sample whipped up a thick creamy lather with absolutely zero scent, but plenty of performance.
1st pass (WTG) was with the Peter Hahn, but it wasn't sharp enough, so I went 2 complete passes with the OSS (WTG & XTG) to finish the job.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Noxzema classic
Soap: Grandstaff Holy Smokes
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: Omega Boar 10005
Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
Blade: Astra SS (3)
After: Barbershop Bay Rum, Limes Skin Food

First time using Noxzema cream as a pre-shave and wow does it pong! Smells like hospital (as pugh-the-special-one said). Menthol not as strong as Proraso green though but the smell is potent. Luckily Grandstaff's soap overpowered it.
I only used Noxzema prior to the first lather to compare it to Proraso. To be honest I couldn't really tell the difference between the two. I'll try it for a week and see if I can tell.

I've been using the Slant razor and Astra blue blade for a few days and I think they go together really well. Easy smooth shave, not the closest but enjoyable none the less. I'd always thought a sharp blade should go with a Slant but I guess that's not always true.

Have a great evening folks.

Gillette Mach3
Thäter 49125/1 3-band
La Toja cream, Classic
Mennen Skin Bracer

Moved in with the girlfriend to day. A momentous occasion! Unfortunately I'm too tired to celebrate with a marquee shave. Instead, a very respectable thrash with Mach3 and a very bracing splash of Skin Bracer.

Now drinking Champagne on the new sofa and listening to Bon Iver while she showers.

Prep: Nice warm bath and hot flannel
Soap: Wickham Bay Rum
Brush: Muhle Silvertip fibre 23mm
Razor: Superspeed
Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
Post: Witch hazel and Forest Fresh

My first lather with the Muhle synthetic or any synthetic for that matter and I know the Super Smooth is easy to lather but it was amazingly quick to get going and so easy. I'll try it with a more difficult soap next time to see how it performs.

3P pre shave
Turkish Boar Brush
P160
English 4 Piece Travel Tech
Polsilver SI (3)
TOBS Sandalwood AS

First use of the travel tech which I have had for about a year really nice shave so that's next weeks travel razor sorted.

I can see why fido just sticks to a tech.
