A.S. - Stirling Ben Franklin

Hard to beat a shave with the Ben Franklin. The Tuxedo synthetic knot is probably my favorite synthetic except the Simpson Chubby. Its splay feels more natural than any of the Plisson types I have tried, and is just as soft.

Have a good night, Everyone.

Razor..Pal injecto-matic (British )
Blade..Feather pro (cut down)
Soap..P&B Spitfire
Brush..Omega pro boar
Post..Thayers Lavender AF
EDP..Mystique by Alharamain

First shave with the Pal and put in a feather, wow , a close shave but a good one, such lightweight razor ,really easy to use. I like it!
The brush and soap were just a pleasure to use also.

All have a fab Friday, over and out.

Off to take MrsB for an MRI scan. Can you believe an 7:45am appointment?

Last shave with the 1912 before it goes back into rotation. Best shave of the week, not BBS but just enjoyable.

Pre: Hot water
Soap: Derby cream with 2 drops of Eucalyptus oil and 1 drop of Peppermint oil
Razor: 1912
Post: Witch Hazel, 100% Argran oil
AS: Christian Dior Fahrenheit

Fri 28th Oct

Vulfix 404 mixed
P & B Spitfire
Gem Junior -brass
Gem S/S [ 3 ] & 1/2 spine shim
La Toja A/S lotion

A dampish 404 works well with this soap and produces in no time a nice thick lather. For a 1912 this is a really smooth and comfortable razor to work with when fitted with a shim. The shim works well for me as I got a nice close irritation free shave.

Second shave with the Schick Adjustable last night, no picture though as it was late and I was tired!

This was a shave with 4 days growth and my normal two passes... I had reservations about whether the Schick would handle 4 days growth as I found it pretty tame the last time I used it. I needn't have been worried. The first pass on 7 easily worked it's way through the majority and the second pass was a good finish. I've not finished off quite as well as I did with the ATT S2 with the same two passes (and it was fighting 6 days growth) but it was still a very impressive finish none-the-less! 9 hours later and I'm still pretty smooth all over. Enjoyed the shave and this with a Personna blade on its second outing.

- Schick Adjustable
- Personna blade (2)
- Simpsons Duke 3
- La Toja
- Thayers WH Aloe
- Speick AB

This razor works well with a Modern Schick, both the Chick and Japanese one. I think the latter is better, though a tad more expensive.
