Greetings,
the Derby shave stick, never fails to perform excellently..i'm really impressed how you can get such a superb creamy protective lather with shave sticks..at such a very cheap price..i like to rotate my DE razors in my shave set ups on each shave and today's turn was my Jagen David E01, which is quite mild, but adding my homemade shim, gave the razor that extra bite, resulting in a 3 pass + pick ups mild, but very effective smooth shave with no errors to report.
Enjoy your sunday,ladies & gentlemen.

Brush: Cadman with finest knot (24 mm - loft 50 mm).
Shaving soap: Jabones by Luna "Edicion Especial foroafeitado".
Razor: Souplex (vintage) with long (100 mm) aluminum custom handle.
Mesje: Rockwell Razors Swedish Stainless Steel (1)
After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

Maiden trip of this brush, won at a raffle on Facebook.
Now already I think this is a awesome brush.

Soap is great, good lather and pleasant scent.

The razor is mild, yet very effective.
It has a strange threading - M5x0.75mm - different from almost all other razors (M5x0.8mm,
or Fatip: M4.5x0.8mm).
The original handle (foreground) is thin and short.

The blade, used the first time, did a good job.

And finally: the inexpensive after shave is good, and smells pleasantly.

So, in short: a very pleasant shave, with a smooth result.

Have a nice Sunday, everybody ! :):)

Mastro Livi Grifetto, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point

Mastro Livi Grifetto has something magic in it. It is always capable of giving the smoothest and closest shave, in my opinion a superb and top notch razor. This stainless steel straight razor is something you can always rely on, giving an irritation free shave and an impeccable BBS. I also have to say I liked using this Geo. F. Trumper Limes Shaving Cream, in particular for its fragrance. Moreover, Mennen Skin Bracer is, in my opinion, an excellent aftershave and if we compare its price (in Italy it is sold at about five euros) it is amazing both for the fragrance and the fresh sensation leaving on the skin.

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil

Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Plus (1)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Route High Mountain Mist
Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri
Bowl: Symmetrical Blue & Lt. Purple Dottie Bowl

Needless to say I was a little surprised this morning. Very good 3 passes with a light touch up this afternoon.
@semperfi45 - I see you are shaving with my favourite vintage blade. Hard to find, but worth the effort. By the looks of the environment, no need for menthol with this shave.
