A great shave to round of a great evening. This evening I attended my first class back on the Tae Kwon Do mat tonight after a 2 year absence due to a herniated disc, in my back, which has got to the point where I doubt it will improve much further. As such its just a case of seeing if my body will let me get back to martial arts or not. Only time will tell but despite being totally out of condition I really enjoyed myself.

THURSDAY EVENING

Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Pro
Brush: Omega boar
Soap: Sir Irisch Moos
AS: Brut
Balm: Zirh sooth
EDT (in morning): Caron L'Anarchiste

Another cracking Plisskin shave.

The brush was part of my Secret Santa. It's just starting to break in and is a cracker for hard soaps and face lathering.

I can now see why Omega brushes are liked so much. They are real bargains.

Fri 23rd January 2015- break from SE.

Neutrogena Glyc. Bar
Victoria P/B brush
Proraso Green cream
Merkur Futur [ 3,2 ]
Lab Blue [2 ]
Alum Rub/rinse off
Myrsol Antesol A/S

Great Shave, SE shaving has really improved my technique. This big razor can really
provide a close shave, with the lightest of touches and using its weight. Not getting rid
of this one.Probably did not need Alum or After Shave, so irritation free.

Greetings

Today I broke one of my cardinal rules: never use more than one new or unknown product.

Razor:
Second use of the Mongoose with a Feather Pro blade. This morning I was a little disappointed with the length of my stubble, clearly the Mongoose shave yesterday wasn't as close as a Cobra shave but maybe it will be with practice. Yesterday I used a Bulldog handle (85mm) which made the razor very head heavy; today I used the standard polished handle which is 95mm long. It was better balanced but a little unwieldy for me. Back to the Bulldog tomorrow.

Brush:
New brush – Semogue Owners Club Boar. Test lathered last night and first use this morning. I hope it gets a lot softer. Also a bit of a lather hog but I understand this is a feature while its breaking-in. Does not smell of pig though, oh no, it now smells of…

Soap:
Kramperts Arcadian Spice Rum. This smells exactly like the After Shave splash and it's fabulous. The lather generated easily, was thick creamy and slick. It did start to dissipate after a few minutes on the brush but again I think (that's) the brushes fault and won't occur once it's more broken-in. I also noticed a very slight tingling once the soap had been applied, I hope (that's) the brush causing that and not the soap because I'll be gutted if I'm sensitive to this.

Tomorrow I'll stick with the SOC boar but I'll use a familiar soap.

Finished with 4711 ASL which I love the smell of but it really doesn't work with the Kramperts soap!
