Pre late shift shave. Hopefully a quiet one!

Have a good day when it comes everybody, and a wee thought for those men and women home and abroad, who are working over Christmas and New Year. Stay safe everybody.

Take it easy whatever your name is (Carl, Cyril, pig on stilts, hairyshite), have got my fingers crossed for a quiet night for you. Town was abnormally quiet last night so you'll hopefully experience the same tonight. If not just crack some jaws :)

Same gear as yesterday and will be the same for Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

Here's wishing all you gents wherever you are and however the weather is with you, the very best Christmas and New Year. If you don't celebrate Christmas due to your religion or otherwise then please don't be offended as I still wish you all the very best. We're a' Jock Tamson's bairns!

Sir B, I seldom see Redwings round here - very occasionally around the area although never in my own garden but what a welcome sight they are and I wish you all the joy of them! Look out for wee Bully too, what a smashing, chunky fellow he is for sure. Saw my first Waxwings late last winter in the Swedish Whitebeams near my Mother & Father-in-Laws. Very striking, bonnie creatures.

Oh and Jamie, ta muckle for the Fast Show clip. Where's the comedy like that these days, sir?

Christmas Eve Shave

Coal tar soap face lather/wash
Ever Ready Streamline
New Forest 2202 Oak
Proraso Green Soap
Cold Water/Witch Hazel

Face lathering the coal tar soap for a face wash seemed to work well.
3 passes with the Streamline, 2x WTG plus XTG on the jawline, finished with a ATG on top lip, chin and neck.
Mild irritation on the jawline, I still need to get used to an XTG pass and the extra weight of the Streamline.

Cold water splash
Truefitt & Hill 1805
Simpson Commodore X3
Weber Polished / Bulldog
Gillette 7 O'Clock Black/Indian (3)
Myrsol Emulsion
Lalique Hommage a l'Homme EdT

Ready for Santa to come :D

Hot Bath and flannel
Progress on 3
Sputnik (2 or 3, can't remember)
Valobra Almond
Coate's Fitzwilliam
Forest Fresh A/s

A fairly quick 2 pass (wtg & atg) shave, and a great result.
Merry Christmas all :icon_cheesygrin:

Tuesday

Evening, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89 with Bulldog handle
Blade: Polsilver SI (2)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: La Toja
Aftershave: Ricardo L'Homme, Musk
Cologne: Ricardo L'Homme, Musk

Been off with a nasty stomach bug and returned to shave a few days' growth which disappeared easily and smoothly.

Prep: Dove face wash
Soap: Boots shaving stick
Brush: Wilkinsons Sword
Razor: Boots DE head with Merkur long handle
Blade: Timor
Post: King of Shaves Amazing cocunutty balm.

A good close shave. I used a small washer from an unused bicycle brake block fitting to fit the razor head onto the handle. This is because the threading on the razor head does not go all the way down to the top plate.

Buon Natale!

Soap: Dr Harris Arlington
Brush: Simpson "The Duke" D3 Manchurian Briar
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89BA11GBL

Merry Christmas! Waiting for my family to wake up for presents and breakfast. I'm due at the Outlaws' at 2pm and they live 120 miles away. I'm suddenly not so sure about this split Christmas idea!
