An interesting first try of the old type. Smooth results but a little raw feeling on the face.
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Simpsons best
Cobra/Kai Mild
C&S #88 SS
Neutrogena oil free moisture
no EdT for some reason

Fifth and final shave with the Cobra. I just don't care to pay so much attention to detail and I also don't care much for the way that blade feels on my face. Matter of fact, I didn't even bother finishing the shave using the Cobra...switched to the Webly for an extremely comfortable experience. Glad to have that monkey off my back...........whew.

Last shave from this Gem blade, it was a bit tuggy at the end. I'm not sure how many shaves I've got out of it, but it's a lot. Proraso and Fitjar meant a nice minty finish. BBS results.

A really nice shave. The bowl lathering of the Ãœberlather is rather a lot of messing about but it does produce a wonderful slippery lather.

Prep: Nivea face wash
Razor: Fat-handled Gillette Tech
Blade: Supermax Blue Diamond Titanium (1)
Brush: Semogue 830
Soap: Proraso Green
Aftershave: Nivea Balm

Looks like these blades are two-shaves-and-out types (for me). Good shave with this setup. Close, smooth and irritation-free. DFS. Proraso is about to run out and it's going to be a tough act to follow.
 
Friday:

Morning, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 with Bulldog handle
Blade: 7 o'clock green (21)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Tabac
A/S: Tabac
Cologne: Kouros

I can't believe I had a BBS this morning, but there you go. This mutant 7 o'clock shows no sign of throwing in the towel so neither will I. If all my blades were like this one, I'd have to live to the end of the century to get through them all.

Felt like going all powerhouse today. If you turn your noses to the west, you might just catch a whiff of me.

Working week for Cella comes to a close and what better way to finish than with a nice big Italian boar. Totally fallen in love with Cella this week. Seem to have got it sussed properly now and getting immense lather from it.

Ironically started the week being amazed at the Chubby with Cella but by the end of the week it was probably the worst brush with it as I prefered all the subsequent brushes. Just goes to show you.

Need to think which soap for next work week gets this treatment.
