Very smooth all over, but there was a bit of redness under the jawline which has now disappeared. The Nanjie demands a light hand.

A real mixed bag of nations today. The end result was good but I'm still not very confident with this razor as the handle is very narrow - I wrapped somed waxed cord around it to bulk it up but what I think it needs is just more and more use.The brush is very good and dries back to it's original shape.​

This cream has the loveliest scent and the blade's fantastic, one of my top five shavers and when all was said and done I had myself a fantastic weekend shave :D Dear Dr D, that brush looks amazing - I'm a sucker for old barber handles and the colors makes my head spin, in a good way :D

Lovely shave from the single ring, this is the later type with thicker cap. The razor set came with a couple of original 3 hole blades date code 274 which could be 1922 if I have read the history right. They are not guaranteed to be original but a fair guess they are.

Another comfortable shave from the Personna Lab. Could probably get a fifth shave out of it but don't want to push it and will load a new blade tomorrow.

Pre myrsol emulsion

Razor mergess xl on 3.5
Blade 7oclock blue
Post myrsol emulsion followed by myrsol aqua de limon

Found skin feels great with myrsol but the boss doesn't like the smell of the emulsion

I've decided, based on the decrepit box, that this is a #22 rather than a #66. It's in need of some TLC but it shaves beautifully - the mildest Arisocrat I've tried on this little Aristocrat odyssey of mine.

Soap: Nanny's Citrus Zinger\Klar Kabinett - suribachi lathered
Balm: Witch hazel then Bulldog

One small nick on the mouth (closed with alum) and a DFS but I'll take that at this point in my straight razor journey.
