Alas!
The bakelites I've tried I really like but I don't think they're for those who prefer their shaves on the mild side.Bakelite is where it's at, as Peter Kay would say... “It's the future!â€
I haven't tried one but I don't fancy green patina.Copper is the new kid on the block! P
Yeah most (possibly all?) of the modern production Bakelites are just reproductions of old German designs.
You can order direct from Zenith via email: http://www.pennellificiopandolfo.com/
The Merkur 45 should be widely available. Great little razor. I'm going to use mine today... has been a while...That's the only bakelite i have seen in a local shop:
It's looks like a Fatip gone mad! But it's the only bakelite option locally.
Contrary to popular belief, the specialized shops here for wetshaving are few. I consider useful only two plus Amazon. When i was searching, i couldn't find anywhere a medium loft Zenith with aluminum handle, including Ebay. The only place i 've seen one, is tvbshaving or something, in Romania. The Omegas here ? The only one i have seen on sale is the one in the extreme right, hence why i bought it. The rest are all news to me.
I too have one that is more aggressive than any R41 , it needs respect! P.I have a vintage bakelite razor that is quite aggressive. It's all in the head design.
@Obelix - Gillette Tech. Proven to be durable, mild but effective and available for cheap on the BST. I picked up a virtually mint condition one for the price of a Fatip.
i can send you an agressive bakelite razor to try if you like your shaves more wild than mild. P.The bakelites I've tried I really like but I don't think they're for those who prefer their shaves on the mild side.

Is the heat retention as good as brass?
Winter Is Coming!
That was my point, the bakelites I've tried have all been on the aggressive side of efficient. Possibly to make up for the lack of weighti can send you an agressive bakelite razor to try if you like your shaves more wild than mild. P.
