Just received. Immediate thought and feel: tips like a silvertip and backbone like a drill sergeant. Somehow smaller than I expected, both handle and knot. I'm positive the Epsilon Krion handles are bigger. From what I've read I should expect to give this at least a handful of palm lathers...

I just ordered the Yaqi Moka brush and another, purple one called Chianti. The former comes with the Mew hairs, the latter no designation beyond synthetic. Upon asking Yaqi, was told that they are all the same fibres in different colourings, as is their black/tuxedo.

Here's my rotation. Quite pleased with the collection. Noticably fewer boars than average I see.

A while since I used it but seem to recall that I at the time did find it conditioning, yes. It beat Haslinger's equivalent.

I've been doing this for a good while, too, mostly off samples. Herecy, some would say; nothing to lose, I say. I have considered Billy's point about possible chemical reactions, but so far so good on that front. The only downside is that the blend tends to go softer than its constituent parts...

Yup, this. I bloom most soaps, for ease of lathering but also in order to use the bloom water. (As for the first purpose, in my experience, some lathers are improved and some unchanged, while a very few are actually better left unbloomed before lathering up.)

Doh.. :oops: I think your formulation is most naturally taken to mean what you intended to convey, at least in this context. My head might have been at work along with the rest of my body, while my dreams (and typing fingers) were in shaving country...
