Two Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
Talmalin (Engels) Solingen Extra Hollow 6/8th
Hans Baier Silver Tip
Valobra Tallow Soap
Humphreys Witch Hazel

I Had a Shave Today with My Engels Solingen 6/8th..This is another SR with a Very Thin Grind..It has a Very Keen Edge & a Very Comfortable Shaver..Made by Engels for a Belgian Barber Chain..Quite Light & Very Compact & Balanced in the Hand & Handles like a 5/8th..;)

I am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:D

My second SR shave, but I dialled it in to only the face this shave.

- Eicker Solingen 4/8 full hollow

- Merkur 34C

- Omega Professional 49

- MWF (just to wind up @Fergiebilly )

- Thayers Aloe WH

- Speick AB

The fat is a weird soap, I love the smell and the after shave skin feel (moisturised and smooth), but this is only my second time using it and I can't get a thick, creamy lather, just lots of slightly airy lather. I will persevere though, just only when I fancy experimentig.

So to the shave itself, instead of getting excited like I did on my first shave, I reigned myself in and stuck to my face, no neck shaving. Two passes with the SR and my cheeks were in great shape, my top lip was a bit patchy and parts of my chin were patchy, but I'm getting better with both hands and there were no nicks and zero irritation this time around so that was a result. I finished he shave off with a single pass on my face and two passes on the neck with a Merkur 34C and ended up DFS all around so I'm happy!

Or listen to the fanboys tell you all of the special procedures to get it to work. Or watch the videos showing four minutes of whipping it in a bowl to get a decent lather. Or try it exclusively for a month and PIF it to a masochist like I did. [emoji12]
If you can't get it to work for you pif it my way, I can whip up a great lather with it in no time at all!

Yup...any day now! He said he would be posting it out yesterday:)
View attachment 20474 SOTD Thursday 1st September 2016. Good morning shaving room.

Prep..shower
Pre..bloom water
Razor..Hone type 15a
Blade..feather stainless #1
Brush..omega pro boar
Soap..OSP Spice road
Post..Thayers AF WH
AS.. Tabac

The same three pass shave today this time with a Feather blade.
Today's shave mirror's yesterday's apart from the shave not feeling as smooth, I've found this with feather blades time and time again, I picked up two small nicks one on my jaw line and one on my neck.
The end result was the same, smooth as a really smooth thing.
Finnished off with my usual splash of witch hazel followed by a spray or two of Tabac after shave.

Wishing you all a wonderful September . Over and out.

I will post the second day of my seven day review on the reviews section soon.

Good blades, the Feathers; but they can be unforgiving little buggers. They work better for me in milder razors (Tech, Travel Tech, Superspeed etc.). I have to watch if I use them in my fat handled Tech, though; as this is a wee bit more aggressive.
