Provisionally count me in for the 2 band Nishy. Depending on numbers I would like No 16 but can live with anything if we don't get that high.
Love the Algae acrylic you linked to in a previous post but not keen on Butterscotch so that would probably be a deal breaker.
Also love the idea of the Obsidian Tree on the coin, the combination of that and the Algae acrylic colour would be perfect:)

I'm pretty sure we're not going to have the Obsidian tree on the coin my friend. Engraved lettering will be taking up most of the real estate. The Algae coloration should look excellent with the knot and handle shape :)

I used an Epsilon 2-band, 26mm at 55mm loft this morning. I fought the stubby handle for the entire shave, including dropping it twice. It is a fantastic knot but much ***ked up by being too short a loft by 4 - 6mm, in my estimation. Hugely dense, as we know, and thus needing extra loft, imo. For those who like a scrubby brush, I guess it would be ideal as is at 55mm. 4

I hope we get the algae Nishy. I'm sorry to say it but I too am not keen on the Butterscotch colour. It just looks really old fashioned to me.

Carl I honestly believe it will still be scrubby at 58mm just obviously toned down compared to the 55mm.

I'm hoping it is the case too. Butterscotch isn't final but each step as it comes.

I know this has been mentioned in previous LEs, but cannot find it (phone navigation): how about US buyers and taxes? Juan surely knows how that goes :)
Yup all good in the hood for the US buyers also no tax to be paid.

Shall I put you down as number 30 ;)

Yes, please! 30 is good for me!

Are you actually taking orders now? Dependant upon colour options and knot options, I may well wish for a second brush - especially if there is a 60 - 61mm loft option. I have no idea what Epsilon knots will stretch to. I think that they would make fine, non-scrubby brushes with an extra millimeter or two.

The chosen handle - Barber? I've forgetten already - will take care of my problem with stubby handles.

Undecided, Nishy... May I ask, isn't it normal to set two-banders higher than equivalent three-band silvertips given the stronger backbone of the former? In this case, both types of knots will be 28x55?

Hi Carl, the knot sizes are set to 28/58. Having spoken with a few collectors it is agreed this would be ideal. I measured my Epsilon 2 band and it is set at 52mm (stated was 55mm) at 58 it would be perfect. Handle is currently Anchor style (see post 1) and colour is currently Algae. Waiting on Juan for confirmation.

Just getting an idea of interested members so we can set a quantity. Currently we are well below a reasonable number. But if and when we do we will be able to process orders faster.

Hi Halvor yep, I would have thought so too. But having spoken with others owning several silvertips and having taking delivery of my Epsilon the loft would be ideal. It is the very dense nature that would 'feel' better at these higher lofts. It is a completely different feel to Shavemac and I would highly recommend trying it.

What is interesting is that it splays more than the 2 band Shavemac, even being more dense, also the tips don't clump so you get more of a sweeping feel than gel tips. But with no scritch, I equate this to scrub. Plenty of scrub, whilst being very soft.

At 28/58 it will be an impressive knot.

The knot sizes are set (plural) to 28/58 (singular). Is there not a 26mm option also?

You didn't speak to collectors like me! We would tell you that 28/58 would be like a soft stencil brush and that we wouldn't want one. We think that 26/58 in these knots would be at the scrubby end of being shaving brushes.
