Mmm - was that the Lancet Super Platinum or the Lancet Advance Plus Super Platinum ...I saw the burgandy/yellow pack for sale in shop in India (that only sold supplies to barbers) and they seemed to be the cheapest blades sold in India. I can't know for sure, but I have some of the lower tier DE blades are used by barbers not for shaving but for tidying up hairlines with a shavette.
In India, I seemed to get the impression the sharper the blade, the more expensive it is, with the Gillette 7 Black being 55 INR for 10 blades.
FWIW, I don't think it's made by Supermax, but the best subcontinent blade I have used is the Lancet Super Platinum; it's similar to the Gillette 7 Black but a little smoother. Worth trying via ebay for 5 for 99p. I know @Palmolive fox is a fan of it as well.
It seems to be the best blade I have used for my Gillette Old Type, and Souplex Bakelite razor.
Lancet Super Platinum is excellent. Not tried the other one.Mmm - was that the Lancet Super Platinum or the Lancet Advance Plus Super Platinum ...
Paul what do the indian blues look like ?
Perfect thanks PaulYet to arrive, but ...
Apparently, these are different to the Vidyut SuperMax Super Stainless which are also bue packaging and have a large V on the front. There's also a saloon bladepack (half DEs).
Apparently, there's a Blue Plus as well ...
Possibly the old SuperMax Blue Diamond Titanium (now discontinued)?
Paul, I have the latter and a few other Zorrik blades. I was planning to place an order via Ebay for some more Lancet blades soon and placing an order for a few more Lancet blades.
If you're in no rush, I could send some to you soon? I will PM you later to say which ones I have and which ones I can send if needs be?
Cool keep us updated mateTo be frank, I've not used any yet ... still assembling the candidates and then I'll take a run through them. There's a queue ... I've just got a new razor and then there's the rest of the Lords, then the rest of the Treets ... then I hope to get onto the SuperMax.
Which is...
Muhle Rocca ... got a lend of a RRGC84OC to play with as well.
