FWIW, I don't think it's made by Supermax, but the best subcontinent blade I have used is the Lancet Super Platinum; it's similar to the Gillette 7 Black but a little smoother. Worth trying via ebay for 5 for 99p. I know @Palmolive fox is a fan of it as well.
It seems to be the best blade I have used for my Gillette Old Type, and Souplex Bakelite razor.

Mmm - was that the Lancet Super Platinum or the Lancet Advance Plus Super Platinum ...
 
The Super Platinums have arrived - the ones with the three stripes at the side. I also have some Super Stainless greens coming and some Indian blues that state Swedish steel (like the Blue Diamond Titaniums do). I'll get some of those burgundy Vidyuts just for fun, too. Maybe the Lancets for a curveball comparison. I think that makes a reasonable list of "the best of" and possibly one which is the worst of ... bets on which I like best? Haha It'll be those plebian Vidyuts.

I'll have a run through in due course ...

Apparently, these are different to the Vidyut SuperMax Super Stainless which are also bue packaging and have a large V on the front. There's also a saloon bladepack (half DEs).

Apparently, there's a Blue Plus as well ...

Paul, I have the latter and a few other Zorrik blades. I was planning to place an order via Ebay for some more Lancet blades soon and placing an order for a few more Lancet blades.
If you're in no rush, I could send some to you soon? I will PM you later to say which ones I have and which ones I can send if needs be?

Certainly no rush ... I've a stack of Lords and the rest of the Treet range to try out ... and a growing mound of SuperMax. Yeah! That would be great! Let's hear what you have. Appreciated.
 
@pjgh how you getting on with the supermax de blades?

super max (blue) 200 for less then £7 delivered on eBay uk is a bargain imo very tempted to get them tbh (image below)
