I've got the Smiths cushion case. I love the look of it but I really need a date on my work watch and I'm just getting into (old) vintage timepieces so not sure if it'll be a keeper...

That is indeed my 1016 Explorer, the smaller diameter matches my skinny wrist perfectly. One of my favourite watches of all time.

No, personally I probably would not wear them anyway, so they would be a waste of money for me.
