To cap what was already a good week (see post #834), son and heir turned up with a present of air tickets, hotel bookings and tickets for the Atlético Madrid vs Leicester Champions League game in three weeks' time. Given that the draw had only been made that morning, he hadn't wasted any time!

I had a meeting with our new Group Health and Safety Director - my big BIG BIG boss. We had a chat about H&S performance around the UK and globally and what we can do to bring other countries to the UK's level. At this point i mentioned that due to Brexit I am worried that the UK will not be as progressive with regard to environmental legislation as it could be. His response was priceless - ah Brexit, you are, as they say, fucked. He sat back with a smug smile that only a Frenchman can perfect. Needless to say, I like the bloke immensely, he is brutally honest and agrees with my way of thinking!
