Thayers witch hazel with aloe vera
Professor Blightys Harlequin aftershave, witch hazel based

Semogue brush is working out just great, far superior to the Omega I tried and threw in the bin,the Profs products are something else too,the aftershave is doing wonders for my skin.
A very satisfying shave.

Saturday

Cobra Classic
Feather Pro Blade (8)
Vulfix Piccadilly Boar Brush
Arko Stick
Clinique Post Shave Soother

The little Vulfix was the first "proper" brush that I ever owned. Not used a boar brush for ages, and it worked well with the Arko.

Saturday:

Razor: Short handled super adj (7)
Blade: Bic (2)
Soap: MdC (thanks Ollie!)
Brush: Duke 3 2 band super

I think I've found the one. This brush is fantastic. Expensive yes, but no matter what anyone says, you can't beat Simpson 2 band.

Soap wasn't too bad either.

Saturday

Prep: Shower
Soap: Proraso Cream
Brush: Edwin Jagger Best Badger
Razor: Merkur Progress
Blade: Wilkinson Sword Saloon
Post shave: Professor Blighty - Universal Balsam

My first time using Proraso and really like the feel on the skin.
Have decided that the Progress is my daily razor and the 34c is now to be my travel razor as I prefer the Progress.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Marshall Fields two band
1956 Diplomat/Personna74 (NOS)
Dr Dittmar Rasierseife SS
Barbershop Bay Rum AS
Givenchy 'Xeryus' EdT (old juice)

I'm thinking this old blade isn't the best match up with the Diplomat. Yeah, it's just a little too sharp for a razor that I consider about the most aggressive for me, but still plenty enjoyable. Yeah, this one's in my rotation and usually it's paired with an Iridium, which is about perfect.

The Dr Dittmar reminds me a lot of the Moos. Very similar scent and quite good performance. Nice getting this out once again for a very pleasant change of pace.

BBS results,

Martin

Well hello folks, first post on the forum. I'll introduce myself on the welcome board over the next few days.

Saturday

EJ89L
Supermarket Personna (2)
EJ Pure Badger
Nuage shaving oil
Ingram
Bulldog moisturiser

3 passes face (WTG, XTG x2), 5 neck (WTG, XTG/ATG x 4). Smooth. The Personna are my least preferred of the "high street" blades - 3 or 4 weepers on chin. Get 2 passable shaves out of them, and have to work harder than I'd like to get the neck acceptably smooth. Nearing the end of my first and last pack of them. Back to the rugby.

COR BLIMEY !!!!!!

La Toja (wooden tub)
Simpsons B1 (only brush that fits easily in to wooden tub)
Progress
Yellow 7 o'clock
Cade balm
Aqua di Parma

I decided to start pushing out on the Progress and dialled it to 3. What a shave ! Two passes, first one was fantastic, second more or less a touch up pass. It even sorted out my chin which is always a difficult spot.
