I've been getting brush burn from my boar brush, which I don't think I have ever got. I think it's a good time to switch to using a synth.

For what it’s worth I find applying a heavy bristle brush flatter to the skin, as you might emulsion a wall, helps reduce the scrub burn. Mind you I have eventually had to bin a brush when even this approach didn’t work :eek:

This is one of my razors that only gets used very sparingly because it's so beautiful I don't want to risk damage to it, but it's a razor that is designed to be used. That Rhodium smoothness. I should take a photo of it at some point and stop being a lazy sod.:rolleyes:

Cream - Body Shop Maca Root and Aloe
Brush - Kent Infinity synthetic
Razor - Merkur 34c
Blade - Shark SS (3)
Post - lather remains wash, cold rinse, alum block, Sierran Breeze ASL, Nivea ASB, Milano Nuit EDT

The first shave of the new year was just as nice as the last of last year! In fact my face actually felt better as I had 2 day’s stubble to remove. My skin seems to prefer a 2 day routine rather than a daily one, so it’s back to that I go!
The Body Shop Maca Root cream is just pipped by the Trumper Limes IMHO but they both are nicer than anything else I have - although I still have an unopened Kent soap in a wooden bowl to try, so we’ll see!

i guess i could say they are all favourites.
The Razor i got from @Gairdner and it’s been a great addition.
Paired with my now new favourite blade it’s a dream to use although i did get one very small weeper.
In the short 3-4 years iv been wet shaving i don’t think iv came across a base as good as this one.
Definitely up there with the best of them although scent could be a bit stronger.i guess we can’t have everything.
