SOTD : Saturday 29th January-Friday 4th February 2022.

What period are you in now?

Wait a minute,... you have periods?!!!

That's the covid talking, go eat a pizza and some chilli dogs and watch the Canadian truckers on the news.

Y'all doin OK bubba?
2018/19 was the magical start where I convinced myself I was buying a better shave. 2020/21 was buying things through COVID boredom (although discovering some gems along the way). 2022 is about pretending I'm over that 20/21 period and downsizing the collection whilst simultaneously adding to it.

I think we're through the worst of the virus now chap. We're all feeling better than we did yesterday and Saturday. Surprised me just how quickly it took me down though. Fine Thursday, tight chest on Friday and then in bed by Saturday lunchtime.

31/01/22
Pre - Shower
Brush - Simpson Chubby 2 LE Faux Tortoise
Soap - Ariana & Evans Pamplemousse
Razor - OneBlade Genesis
Blade - FHS-10 (2)
Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm - Barts Balm Tester B
A/S - Barbour "2016"

A very nice close comfortable BBS shave from the Oneblade today, this is the 1st use for me of the Genesis version which was acquired from BST, i do not know if it is the extra weight but i actually enjoyed using it today, not so "soulless", still very easy to use and probably impossible to mark yourself up.
Much better in the hand than the lightweight Core i tried.
As a razor it just works - very well.
The Barts Balm B tester is now finished - good stuff that.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all

Good to hear you are feeling better Chris. Not to sound like a downer, but in line with my own experiences and some of my friends who all had Covid (different times & strains I presume) is even once the symptoms have run their course, the post Covid fatigue takes a while to overcome. So if you're lucky to not have any at all (I hope you all are) but if you're not, then don't worry too much about feeling a bit lethargic for a while.

Enjoying the Vector? Despite my (already failing) minimal purchase 2022 pledge, I do like the sound of the Namkha and Oregon soaps from Løthur.
I am mate, see no difference between the Ti version and SS so glad I changed. I seem to have the technique down on this razor now. Those 2 from lothur are really nice scents, especially Oregon.

Thanks Shubs - I'm going to go easy with my recovery and not rush anything.

Fixed it for ya....

Razor = ATT Windsor Copper
Blade = Voskhod ( 1 )
Brush = Turn n Shave 26mm Boar Stoat
Soap = MDC Rose
Splash = DG Rose Sental
Balm = Nivea Daily Lotion

Totally Random shave today
no rhyme & reason as to why i picked anything apart from the splash as it’s the only Rose scented splash i have i think lol.
Again for me the Dury is out on this razor
it’s another i’m not using enough
i’ll need to check the weight but it’s very heavy.
Mind you i only had one very small weeper so not to bad but one is one to many for me.
Also Voskhod i haven’t used in months yet it was one of my favourites
Anyway that’s all my gripes but realistically it’s still a brilliant 8/10 shave.
Stay Safe Lads

Take it easy, despite what the latest recommendations say it can still knock it out of you.
