Your Tech looks new - beautiful!

Your Tech looks new - beautiful!

Cheers! It keeps itself clean and sparkly, somehow. I often use simple liquid soap to brighten up old razors, but this one just looks after itself.

It's a curious one in a couple of ways: the handle is ever so slightly longer than ALL other Techs that I have of that vintage with the spiral handle; it also has "24" stamped under the top cap just next to the centre post. It's a very neutral razor and so a good one for trying out new blades.

SOTD 29th June

Soap - OSP samples
Brush - Razorock 24mm synth
Razor - 1976 Gillette Super Speed Flare tip
Blade - Shark SS #3
Post - Bayliss & Harding ASB

Sublime shave with my birth year razor - light, nimble razor providing smooth, mild shave - very, very enjoyable. I love using this razor. The OSP samples (from a receding memory I think they were Fougere, Neroli, Menthol & Grapefruit, Rosemary & Sandalwood and 1 other) provided an excellent lather - big on volume and cushioning and slick to boot! Why haven't I tried OSP before! Quite impressed with the Shark blade, no weepers and no feedback from the Alum.
Stay safe people and enjoy your shaves.

Later evening shave today and I decided to go brushless...
  • Pre-shave Ach Brito Glyce wash
  • Cremo Refreshing Mint Cooling Shave Cream
  • EJ89 with Nacet blade on on Razorock Titanium
  • Cold rinse + alum rub + another cold rinse
  • Old Spice (Shulton)
  • Nivea Sensitive balm
  • Hollister EDT

A fast and refreshing 2-pass shave. Only the second time I've used Cremo, the first was with a cartridge razor, but I have to say I preferred using it with the DE. I did miss the ritual of the brush though.
The Old Spice is, per fluid ounce, more valuable to me than printer ink...once it's gone there's no replacing it. I've used the post-1990 blend but it's just not the same as this vintage Shulton.

Happy shaving and good evening all

Tue 30 SOTD
Soap RazoRock XXX 1st Use
Bowl Red Nubs
Brush Yaqi 26mm Rainbow
Razor Gillette Red Tip
Blade Polsilver Super Iridium 3rd
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Polo EDT
3rd of RR Soap/Croap tested. Save this for last. Yes...! Scent is nice, stronger than previous 2 but hmmm...still abit mild for my nose. The lather...another WOW! Easily worked up with brush in bowl. Thick, creamy and reasonably slick. Conclusion from all RR 3 soap/croap...lather quality is good but scent is too mild for my nose!
Shave with razor paired with blade is very comfortable. Smooth, sharp and hardly feel any blade. 3 multiple passes without any issues. Between BBS to DFS result. Rating 9.5/10

Greetings,

The chinese GWS is still feeling smooth & efficient on it's third use in the 39c.

One thing i've noticed is my slant razors seem to dull some de blades quicker than others. The chinese & Indian made GWS blade, for some reason this doesn't occur.

Another pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Stay safe and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.
