My Shave today consisted of...
Prep Proraso preshave balm.
Brush Highlander synthetic brush.
Soap Geo F Trumpers Rose.
Razors Stainless Steel Mongoose.
Leaf twig.
Blades Proline and Dorco.
Bowl Obsidian Copper.
Aftershave Signature Lindinis.

Wonderful shave tonight using the gifted Trumpers Rose cream.
It lathered up superbly with the Highlander and the lather on the face feels soft and luxurious.
I have noticed it leaves a great after the shave feeling, my skin feels like it's been moisturised.
The Mongoose was on top form with the Proline blade installed, making it an easy 2 pass shave.
My Leaf has broken so I'm going through my razor's trying to find a good alternative until I can replace it after Christmas. Tonight's candidate was the twig.
Not too shabby but takes a lot more time.
Overall an excellent smooth shave and a very happy chap.

@Mike Smart has been kind enough to lend me several razors (and donated some blades) for me to try out.

The Rex Ambassador has a nice weighty heft to it and an excellent finish. I had heard that, while an adjustable DE, it is a little on the aggressive side. I have sensitive skin and a thick wiry beard and usually a mild or medium aggression razor with a very sharp blade works well for me.
With around 40 hours' growth I set the Ambassador to setting 2 with a fresh blade and had an excellent shave. Two passes at this level then dialled down to the lowest to do a final pass and touch-ups.

Wife chose the aftershave out of a selection of seven. I have seen magazine adverts for the Aqua Manda for Men range being new in 1968.

First sotd in a while, and what a shave it was.
I have finally experiencedwhat the fuss about The Fat is about.
It takes a fair bit of work, and a certain technique,
but the lather produced on a good day or batch is second to none.

This is both in terms of slickness and protection during the shave and post shave feel. Lovely lanolin.
I‘m certain it’s down to batch variations, as I have had several dismal attempts at the Fat,
and this Kent version is the first to deliver.

Lovely lather whip-up by the lovely brush. Soap & matching splash smells wonderful!
Gillette got it right many years ago with DE razors and this vintage Goodwill is no exception. Paired with the blade, the combination provided an excellent smooth shave!

Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men Power 24H Fresh Effect Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Simple Pure Bar Soap.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
Face Lather.
Blade: Lord Silver Star. (D2)
Lather: Chinese Cologne shaving soap.
Razor: Merkur 34C.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Aloe Vera Cooling Gel./ Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic.

Sunday morning shave...

It's been some time since I last used the The Chinese cologne soap which always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave and excellent post shave feel.

Finishing the shave off a with a generous splash of Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)
