Razor = Occam’s OREN
Blade = Feather Pro Light ( 1 )
Brush = 26mm Boar Stoat from Turn N Shave
Soap = Cella Aloe Vera with matching splash & balm.
View attachment 91124Well what a school boy error today but i preserved to no avail.
The blade didn’t fit the razor i basically wasn’t deep enough with a very slight bit of blade showing i decided to go with it anyway.
I mean why not stupidly runs in the family.
Cut a long story short a 12 pass shave finished of with a feather asd2
What i really should have done was change this blade out but i never thought at the time lol
as i said stupidly runs in the family.
Never mind the soap was decent the splash was decent & yip you got it the balm was decent.
Stupidly Shave number 1 hopefully there isn’t any more to follow

Ah ok Thanks Tony@Mike Smart
The Feather lights are @7.4mm wide - 0.6 less of the blade is exposed from the head compared to a Pro @ 8mm.
The only razor I got them to work well in is the Feather DX Shavette. I could not get a Shavette shave from either the SR or SS versions or the KIA captain, with the Occams floating blade it could be the issue?
Most manufacturers don't recommend Feather Lights for their razors Mike due to their size - only for use in shavettes if I remember correctly.Ah ok Thanks Tony
it’s an issue for sure
But there is 3 different heads you get with the Occam’s i’m just wondering if the smallest would be best
i’ll steal sorry i mean borrow a screwdriver from work tonight & give it a go.
i do have the Kai’s also
it’s an expensive mistake if it doesn’t work
Good Shout mate iv not heard that beforeMost manufacturers don't recommend Feather Lights for their razors Mike due to their size - only for use in shavettes if I remember correctly.
Now Guys iv had a thought
yea very unusual i know but is there any Occam’s owners here ?
Perhaps i need to change the plate out to plate 1 for the Feather Light to work
Any thoughts ?
I would try the #3 plate, the most aggressive should give more blade feel.Good Shout mate iv not heard that before
It’s a shite blade anyway
If the occam’s plate 1 doesn’t work iv got two choices. Give 2 packs of blades away free to a good home or go down another rabbit hole
Yeah ok Tony thanksI would try the #3 plate, the most aggressive should give more blade feel.
You need a DX Mike, these blades smooth it out a bit. I only need a single pass for each shave, probably 1 month off a blade
Update :- when I mentioned the KAI Captain, I meant the shavette (sort of between an SR and the DX) not the blade, for me, them boys are top notch (blue pack blade), sharp and long lasting.
