Greetings,

The valet vc1 is my most infrequently used vintage SE razor....I have mentioned before the valet vc1 looks aggressive but IMHO it's quite mild however, that's not to say it isn't efficient enough, like the Gem Featherweight it will mow through stubble with effortless ease.....It took me a few shaves to adjust to this mild yet efficient vintage shaving tool, after that it was happy shaves.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

What a shave! As close and efficient as any I can remember. Maybe it's coming form the relatively gentle Fatip last week, but this combination of blade and razor just destroyed over 40 hours of growth in 2 passes effortlessly. Plenty of blade feel.

Only used a Big Ben in one other razor (ES Outlaw) and when I checked back in my SOTD posts it was a similar result then. Seems this blade suits my face and my razors. I think some more will be ordered soon.

Perfect Sunday morning shave. Completely smooth and no discomfort.

Very nice shave again this morning, dug out the little used dovo. I think this one was my first straight, in my ignorance I trusted the statement from a purveyor of hard to see edges that 'Shave Ready' was indeed that...indeed it was not. It was only when I had an edge put on by Fergiebilly did I realise that it was actually possible to shave with a straight without wincing and feeling like someone was going at you with a pair of tweezers! Oh fun times lol

Considering the rotation the edge is still perfect, nice smooth run that had no problem taking down today's growth.

Happy days and hope f everyone has a good one.

Cheers

Marc

The Grosvenor 404mixed
Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus
RR Hawk V3- A plate
Schick Proline ( 3 )

Another soap on the list of good ones that do not irritate my skin. Have not been tempted to go back to using After Shave and do not really feel the need for it. Quite enjoying this run of trouble free Shaves, with no post Shave irritation.
