SOTD 25-May

Brush: Cadman 30mm Tuxedo
Soap: SS Triumph
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: GEM PTFE (3)
Post: SS Triumph AS & Balm, Invictus EDT

Great shave this morning, newly arrived triumph, as with most Stirling offerings it offered up a decent lather with minimal fuss. Where this one shines for me is the scent, love it.

Excellent 2 pass for a very smooth finish. More than ready for the day ahead.

Hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Cyril Salter. MS ED2band
L’Occitane Cade Cream
Schick WW2 issue E2 - Canada
Schick S/S - Chick ( 1 )
Puig Quorum A/S Lotion

This was my first use of a Chick in this Razor.Despite having two days harsh growth, the Shave was not only smooth and comfortable but the finish in all areas was exceptionally good.

Keeping it classic today.
Pre: Proraso menthol preshave. Wash with hot towel and La Toja Magno (in that order..!)
Cream: Proraso sandalwood
Brush: Simpson Commodore best badger x3
SR: Fritz Bracht Tennis 5/8 extra hollow
Post: Bio oil
AS: Tabac

Hmm.
After a lengthy break from the Proraso pre, I thought I'd give it another go. I swear it made my face less slippery. Wasn't going to chance that, so washed it off with the slick Magno.
A toothpaste sized bit of the good old Proraso red provided easy lather on the Simpson. Unfortunately the brush has started to shed quite a bit. Is that the end of it? Or do they stop shedding? Can I change the knot? Or do I persevere until the hair is too sparse? I liked the brush (amd still do) but picking badger hairs off your face mid shave is getting annoying.
The razor possibly needs a touch up. I did run it over my diamond balsa and gave it a reasonable stropping but it was not quite great. That said, no cuts and DFS so all's well that ends well. Bio oil and Tabac will leave me feeling smooth and ready for the day.

Maybe the theme should have been midweek mediocrity? Sometimes things just don't go perfectly, and that's OK, even on social media!

Just amazed with this blade...no sign of giving up. Paired with the razor, the shave is still very smooth and comfortable. 3passes for a surprisingly good finish...bbs/dfs. Aftershave was very good..
