SOTD 12/21/19

Good straightforward shave on this 21st day of Decadent December with my brass Gem Model 1912. Decent face and dome DFS with a good shaving cream, Palmolive.

RAZOR: Gem 1912
BLADE: Pella PTFE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA's Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
BRUSH: Jayaruh Custom Synthetic
CREAM: Palmolive Green
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with L'Occitane Glycerin soap followed by Thayers Lavender WH

A nice 2 pass today with the Dead Sea Shave. I've done a few test lathers with this before and know it takes a bit of work to get the best from the lather. Bloom the soap, load it like you hate it and add a bit more water on the face. The reward is a lovely smelling and slick lather.

I know this is sad but I purposely did a 2 pass so I can have another shave tomorrow there by teeing up a nice shave on Christmas Day. I need to get out more!

A gentle, relaxed shave today with the 1951 EverReady bathroom set. A new blade fitted so only completed 2 passes WTG and ATG with a little buffing under the jawline on my devils whirlpools.
I did get some light indications from the Alum block, this seems to be the norm with the 1st shave of a new blade in these razors for me.
The Barts Balm lotion and Balm sorted out any issues i had leaving me soft and supple.
Finishing with a splash of Hugo Boss resulting in a very nice overall shave.
DFS+, feeling and smelling good and ready for my visit with the Mothership.
