Beta testing some soaps by a local vendor. There are 4 varieties. I am testing the best scent among all...Lime & Coconut! Just use a small piece to lather in the bowl. Easy to lather but found it to be not as dense nor creamy. Kinda airy with much bubbles. Lather also dissipates while on the face too. Feels some minor irritation...hmmmm..
Shave with razor paired with blade was very nice. Smooth and comfortable. Blade is still good. 3+1 multiple passes without any issues. DFS++ Great post & aftershave. Rating 9/10

I've been choosing a different soap/cream every Monday and using it all week and finding it's a great way of really dialling in the right water ratio although I've been using a different brush every day. The Gillette Rubie felt smoother today than on the previous couple of days and feels quite a good match in the AS-D2.

Finished off with a sample of Oxford & Cambridge Cologne, what was beautiful lavender scent, very natural smelling.

SOTD 5th Aug

Lather - Yaqi Sagrada Familia + Stirling Arkadia
Razor - Gillette Tech
Blade - Dorco Titan #2
Post - Mennen Skin Bracer + L'Oréal Hydra Sensitive Birch Sap

Firstly, the lather was epic! Brush and soap combined superbly. Think this Stirling soap comes second only to my very, very favourite P&B Sanskrit in terms of scent - its awesome.
Finally, the Tech delivered the shave I've been expecting after listening to the hype. It was an excellent, relaxing, smooth and pretty close 3 passes. No nicks, zero feedback on Alum. I'm riding the cap more than on the other 2 vintage razors in this little rotation. But, it did feel natural on this particular shave. Really, really enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to see how the Star compares in the next day or two as its outperformed the Tech ( to me anyway) in every shave so far.
Post shave felt great too. Enjoy your shaves people and stay safe and continue to take care.
