I have a 26mm Knot inbound
.I am amazed by it's ability to absorb water , I never saw that in a synth before.

There is no doubt that after a few days using AC/SE Razors, an Injector head seems very small. However, this particular one though very smooth and comfortable during the Shave, is also very efficient when fitted with a Twin blade. I had no problems getting a rather satisfying close all round finish.
Very pleased I got hold of this Razor, which now seems to have disappeared from the Market Place - no one is sure where they were made. Though a clone it is well put together and Shaves well, and according to owners of the original performs just as well.I will not be chasing after an original, I believe one sold in UK last month for £175.

First use of the new Proraso "Super formula" - My main criticisms of Proraso in the past were lack of slickness and post shave dryness, they appear to have increased the glycerin content as this version is better in that regard... I'm quite impressed for £3.30 a tub. It's not Monsavon good but still an enjoyable cheapie.

Post - Alum followed by some moisturiser
I was going a bit gun hoe with this morning's shave and managed to nick my chin. Other than that a nice shave. Alum stung a bit.

Didn't sleep much last night and today's shave was one of those ones where I needed it to wake me up. I've been using Arko for a few shaves now, and the lather is far better than I remember it to be, not as drying as it can be associated with maybe it's easy to overload and underhydrate, but I seem to be picking up a new nicks/weepers with it, a few more today but again I'm not sure whether it is down to the soap, the lather, the blade or my technique.
Definitely feeling more with the world at the end of the shave than I was before, even if it wasn't the greatest shave it was one of the ones which reminded me why this hobby is a good one for me.
Finished the shave with the SS Patchouli splash. I'm really enjoying it with every additional use, I reckon Brian has another winner for his range.

I can only assume it's the density of the knot that helps it retain water - I know exactly what you mean
