First use of my new Alpha Gunslinger handle on the General V2 head. These two pair very well together. The small head, lightweight aluminium but wide handle make a really nimble razor. It looks good to my eye as well. Mrs Boycie83 wasn't as impressed.

A great lather today but I'm not so sure about the combination of blade and razor, the results were good enough but I didn't find it massively smooth; far more post shave burn and irritation than I prefer.

I can't remember exactly, I think I bought it in either the Afro-Carib hair product places in either Brixton or Peckham before watching a film. Those shops have a few items for wet shavers, most of the Benjamins Bay Rum/all the Brut/Denim splashes (£3 each) and the Glacial Menthol one with a penguin on the bottle.

Razor - Gillette Tech with Ti handle
Blade - Polsilver Stainless, Lodz Poland
Soap - Figaro P.160 Tipo Normale
Brush -SJ. Yew handled barber's boar
Post - Thayer's Astringent
Frag - YSL Kouros EdT
Back to basics shaving this week,
the dependable Tech paired with the Lodz Polsilver, the outstanding P.160 shaving soap whipped into a fabulous lather with the yew handled barber's boar with a 1965 penny set into the base of the handle, made by our very own @Steven_Jagger.
Apart from a small nick to my ear lobe caused by my carelessness and the tab on the razor blade the shave was a good one leaving me with smooth skinned and happy with the shave.
Finished with a spray or two of Kouros, perfect!
The pen porn today is my Kaweco Supra in Stainless with the extender tube removed, because I like it like that!

Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse, TC's Orange & Neroli infused Witch Hazel
Balm: TC's Orange & Neroli Argan Oil
Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 EDC
My Maiden shave with the newly acquired Tradere - its been a long wait to pick one up. A massive thank you to @malc6552 and BST.
So, Initial impressions? He's a big lad, if the PILS is Thors hammer this fella is Zeus's Sledgey. luckily i have a mitt like a Silverback so it sits very nicely in there, the head is also quite large, again, as i have a heed about the size of a good winter cabbage all is well.
A wonderful lather mixed in the bowl and applied with a cloud of badger - niiice!
so 1st pass with the grain

OOOOOh! Thats pretty darn good!
For me, not as much blade feel as the Blackbird and actually a step back in aggression, no loss of efficiency though, the angle was pretty much standard and after the first pass i was just about done.
I completed a second pass ATG then a couple of areas touched up, done! BBS.
I am pretty sure, i could, with practice get a 1 pass shave with this razor.
Its going to be fun trying out different blades and getting my face acquainted with it.
A nice post shave with a little indication from the Splash but all in all a very nice shave.

Thank you, the knot came form an Omega 48 brush, a lovely brush as it was but now after Steven Jagger worked his magic with the lovely handle the brush is fantastic!!!

Smashing shave but I set the razor to the max setting of six which was a tad bit high for my face although no razor rash, second pass set at ‘N’ for touch up. Liberal splash of the aftershave finished up the pleasant shave.

Tried the new OSP “Old Gold” today, a lovely scent and very slick lather.
Back to a normal 3 pass today, the Astra SP was still amazing at 4 shaves, but sticking to my own rules and binned it afterwards.
Tomorrow I get to try my new Mekur Progress 500, putting a new Astra SP Plantinum in it to help gauge the level of aggressiveness on the new razor at different settings, thought I would start out at #2 and go from there.

Nothing not to like there.
The Feon has been my trial razor while i tried a new stone, and I have got it dialled in just right for me.
Signature Soaps Coria is always a joy , I had forgotten too how much I like Floids , and the EJ Brush I got from the BST I really enjoy.
