Hi Rick how are you finding the 'G TOWA T' as a shaver, I would have that down as probably one of my best shavers.

Jamie

Prep: Nivea Sensitive Face Wash, Hot Flannel
Soap: MWF
Brush: M&F Blonde Badger
Razor: Weber POL/Bulldog
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (3)
A/S: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Weleda After Shave Balm
EDT: Penhaligon's Sartorial

Nuage Men shaving oil
WARS
EJ pure badger
1940 service set LC New
Shark SS
RSC balm

My 1st shave with an OC. Very nice little razor bought recently from Jamie. Hadn't shaved since Monday, close and comfortable. Less tuggy on a few days' growth than my EJ.

Friday 18th

Hot shower
Hot Flannel
Nannys Cedarwood & Vetyver hard soap
Simpsons 59 brush
Ikon stainless deluxe open comb razor
Voskhod (1)
Cold rinse
Proraso post shave cream sensitive

DFS, A clean shave from the Ikon open comb which is much more effective than the OSS. Not as smooth as my Weber though. Voskhod blade sharp and efficient. My face cool from the Proraso cream :)

Brian

Today's shave

Valet-Auto Strop
Feather blade
MWF
Kent BK8 Brush

Results BSS WTG:)

Just the ticket after shopping in the -2 (late, late, late, summer) weather.......How Nice.

It's very, very good! I'm lucky enough to have quite a few very very good ones, though (and I cherish the others each in their own way, too...).

Friday 18th January

Hot Shower and facial scrub
3P Pre/Post Cream
Junker 13/16 Western Style Japanese Razor
Rod Neep 26x 47 Extra Silvertip
Nannys Cedarwood &Vetyver Soap
Witch Hazel
Organic Shea Butter
Pashana Bay Rum for Hair and Face
Brian's own (Moustache Wax)

The elements conspired against me today. Heavy overnight snow almost prevented me from getting home this morning. However I made it and had my first shave with this razor:

A super smooth and comfortable shave.
Thanks Rob!

Prep Dr Organics Manuka Honey Soap
Razor Henckels Friodur 5/8 50 1/2
Strop Kanayama Cordovan #8000
Brush Simpsoms Chubby1 in Super
Mitchell's Woolfat
Alum & Witch Hazel
L'Occitane Baux Balm
L'Occitane Baux Edt

The very first shave ever for the NOS Henckels Friodur, I'm impressed only stropped the razor out of the box and she was shave ready and she delivered a lovely super smooth two pass BBS shave.

SOTD-1.jpg

Hot flannel
Proraso Pre, white
NF Tubby 1 brush
Nanny's hard soap, Cedarwood and Vetyver
Gillette Tech/Weber Bulldog handle, Gillette 7 O'clock green (1)
cold splash, alum block
Clinique post shave healer

Very smooth. By today's standards it's left me with a bit of irritation around my neck... a few short months ago it would have been the most irritation-free shave ever. Funny how things change

Posted in last week's SOTD... bugger!
