Early Friday Morning
Razor - Thomas Turner "Lancet Edge"
Strop - My Own Creation
Brush - Vie Long Horse and Badger Mix
Soap - Culmak
Post - Alum & Old Spice Whitewater

What an edge this beauty took tonight, my old Sheffield razors seem to like my new strop. I don't know how old this razor is, it looks as though it should be post war and has the phrase Cutlers to his majesty on it so it must have been pre 1952 when our current Queen was crowned. Not that any of that matters, what does though is that the shave was excellent.

Hot Shower
Merkur 38B
Astra Blue (4)
Cyril R Salter Fresh Mint Shaving Cream
Kent BK4
GFT Lime Skin Food
TOBS Jermyn Street Cologne

Very impressed with the Salter's Mint. I bought a part used one on B/S/T, used it shortly after I got it, but then it seems to have fallen to the back of the shelf. I decided it was time to give it another run out. Excellent lather, pleasant scent and great cushion.

I don't really see much talk about this range, but they are cheaper than T&H/GFT/DRH creams and only a touch more than TOBS - they are however 165g v 150g TOBS - so arguably better value for money. I'm tempted to look out for others in the range.

This morning:

Imperial Leather soap
Feather Artist Club RG (wood), ProGuard blade (2)
Taylor's Jermyn Street soap
Neep English Yew Badger
Trumper's Sandalwood skin food and cologne

Very much as usual on my first try of a Taylor's soap, except that I seem to be a little less than usually close about the Adam's apple. I do not believe that to be due to the soap, which was nice.

Gillette Slim Adjustable on 4 with vintage "the spoiler" super stainless blade
Founders reserved cedarwood and clarysage cream
Gillette Fatboy on 5 with Polsilver (third shave)

The Spoiler had managed 4 close smooth shaves but now was smooth and blunt. The fatboy with the Polsilver was just the ticket. This is now my go to combination

I've been a little soar the last couple of days (I should really rest a day or two from shaving, but it's such great fun :D) and none of the ASs I've used (even though the good ones) has been as nice to my skin as this vintage AS :D
