I've deliberately de-plated some vintage DEs to get back to the brass. Luckily in the SE world, the gold washed ASR razors "wash off" very easily leaving lovely brass.

I think it's all down to aesthetics, as to me polished brass razors are the bee's knees. As is my aesthetically favourite 1912.

They are AC razors. The Schick Proline P is a 50mm blade.

There were three initial models of the v1 General SE. Aluminium, Brass and Stainless Steel. Unfortunately, no longer in production. If you find one, you'll be lucky. Expect stiff competition.
There is however a V2, currently OOS online.
