:eek: Hot damn, I thought about waiting some and do some more research before pulling the trigger, but then I pushed the buy it buttom anyway. My first Simpson though adn I´m really looking forward to use it. It´s actually Peters fault you know, if it wasn´t for his brushes I wouldn´t have gone BAD :lol:

Hi Mikael, the Polo 8 I have is 54mm loft (from memory) it is quite a dense brush and at 25mm knot it gives a full in the face feel. Bullgoose has them advertised at 52mm so there is some variance, I was happy with how it felt before using it so I kept it. That photo was taken when it was new since then it has bloomed quite lovely, it broke far easier than many other I have (or it feel like it did) but it thankfully has not went floppy nor does it splay too much in use.

This is a good a place as any to ask i have a duke 2 that is real stiff and have noticed it does not have the same hair colour as the ones i have seen on here recently so was starting to wonder about the best hair but it does have quite a few light colour hair it also has hardly bloomed after 50 plus uses

Typical Simpson Best hair isn't stiff and that looks like another 2 band ringer.

I didn't really like the Duke 2 with "real" Best hair, just too small and too soft for me personally, but that looks like it might be a good little brush, good and lucky purchase.
 
Yes I like it, it does have quite soft tips. and now i have a problem I am going to have to buy a simpson best to compare :roll: :twisted: , as this was meant to be my simpson best.

I thought they was something strange going on when you got that duke 2 and said you thought it was to floppy and i thought mine was like a brush on viagra

One member from another forum saw fit to sell his Chubby 2 because it was "floppy."

"few times" can mean many things as well as how the person used the brush. Believe it or not some twit ( BB ) commented the Forest 2201 to be soft and floppy. I don't keep abreast with all brush reviews but that's only one I've heard of. 2 things come to mind:

He's a giant and can't help beat the sh*t out of the brush or he's normal size but simply beats the sh*t out of his brushes. Mine has retained its profile and logo intact. That's just how awesome I am.

In hindsight perhaps that was uncalled for seeing as it is his brush and his experience is what matters.
 
He's right Ivan, but he says his CH2 Best (I presume) "feels floppier" than his CH3 Super not that it's floppy.

Almost every brush is going to feel floppier compared to a CH3 Super, it's stupid dense and I find mine often gets bored by my tame lathering technique...

Holy moly! What a sight! Thank you for that awesome imagery! Reckon those bowls/tub aren't empty either. None of my brushes can compete with that. Christ mate.

I just checked one site. How close is yours to these specs:

Knot Size 31mm - Handle Length 1.8 Inch - Hair Length 2.45 Inch - Overall Height 4.25 Inches - Handle Diameter 1.75 Inch - Weight 3.8 oz.

31 knot?! If Audio pre-soaks his Chubby 2-band 15 minutes, can only imagine how you go about yours.

From memory my CH3 has a knot of 30/50mm, which for such a large knot is probably too short. Feels great, needs product.
