First time using the RSC shave cream- really impressed with the lather. The balm is quite thin but the shave cream really whipped up well. Three passes and a touch up, must have over done the touch ups as a little sore in parts but the post shave routine sorted that out. Really close smooth shave in all.
Great sporting day today- currently enjoying the cricket and theres the football later.....Enjoy the weekend guys.

Five shaves in with this blade, and the thing's still fine. Normally I toss the Iridiums after 4-5 uses, but I have a feeling this Schick might last a good while. We'll see how it goes.
You sometimes hear about something 'exploding in lather', and this cream's one of those. In less than a minute of whisking, I had some amazing looking results. Unusually thick and stable lather, with very good slip and cushion. Post shave skin care was quite good as well. The scent is medium strength, and smells just like the cologne. This is a real 'barbershop' scent, and one of the few Penhaligon offerings of any kind that I like and use. Shame it's so tough to find now. This last tube of mine is from 1998. Sheeeesh.
The Barbershop AS of Steve's got here yesterday. I forgot to use it as it was intended, but did apply it as cologne when wondering what to wear today. Normally I don't use alcohol based products as an aftershave anyway, but I do wanna see what the burn's like with this stuff. I apply things like Old Spice aftershave as a cologne as well, and that's what I figured for Steve's stuff.
This is some interesting juice that I'd like to review in a day or so. It's got a bunch of things going on, most of which I find amusing. I look forward to getting a better handle on this product. Thanks again to Steve for sending some my way.

Been shaving with Simmos Mergress all week but yesterday a large box complete with a demand from our wonderful friends at HM Customs landed on my door mat. Inside was the Feather and a pack of 20 blades. And as the Mergress was due a blade change I thought I would have a go at shaving with the Feather today.
After watching a number of vids on youtube about this razor I approached it with a bit of caution...........I have been trying to master shaving with a straight razor for a while now with mixed success (I have not given up yet !!) so I thought remove as much of the idiot factor as possible hence the Feather AS. After all what could possibly go wrong, the blade needs no stropping, honing or anything just fit and go......... :roll: :roll: .....the only idiot factor left was me...... :? :? .
So at this point I expect you are all thinking a trip to A&E was in order and much blood was spilt..........
Well 2 passes and a tidy up later I ended up with as near as damn it BBS shave c/w 2 weepers and 1 nick. The nick was caused by my own stupid fault I did the classic beginners trick of forgetting to stretch the skin as I did my XTG around my jawline.
For a 1st go I'm quite chuffed......
But it has got me thinking about my grip when using my normal straights, as the AS is the none folding type maybe I would be better holding my other straights ............well straight?
Back to the Mergress on monday........wonder how my Ikon is getting on.........
