Saturday

Merkur 37C HD Slant
Derby Extra (1)
Semogue 1305
ToBS (Mr Taylor) Cream

Tabac AS
Nivea ASB

Change of razor. Not as close as the R41 but good enough. The Slant really does offer a smooth alternative shave and the Derby meshes well.

All in all, highly satisfied.

(Picked up a couple more tubes of Erasmic Cream @99p each earlier today - the stash expands).

Saturday

Futur
Israeli unbranded from Shave Shack (4)
Trumpers Cocunut Cream (Face Lathered)
Trumpers (Vulfix) super badger travel brush
Coral
Moisturiser

An ok Shave, I think I pushed too many shaves from that same blade, got to try these things

Saturday

1964 Slim
Feather (1)
Vulfix 404 Bodger
Superdrug Pre Shave splash
MWF (da fat)
Alum Block
Old Spice (P&G) AS
Old Spice (P&G) ODC

Loaded the feather into the Slim on 7 and submitted my stubble to a quick and easy removal, not quite a BBS but a definite DFS, no ASB went straight for the Old Spice, luvly.

How a good day gents.

Saturday

Merkur HD
Super Irridium D1
SOC LE 2009
Tabac
Alum
Aqua Velva Iced Blue with 444 ASB mix.

Irridiums are excellent blades. The AV/444 combo not only feels fantastic- mentol menthol- it leaves my skin feeling better than anything else!

Quick shave today. Cycling presentation where i won a few things. Worked all day, puncture on front wheel so got a lift home instead of fixing it, GF on way over.
Merkur 34HD
Astra blade
Wilkinson sword brush
Real Shave Co cream

Alum
ISIS ASB

Straight ATG everywhere besides bits of the neck. Did a second pass on my sensitive bits on the neck and a few touch ups on chin and sorted.

Re: Shave of the Day, w/c Saturday 20 February 2010

Saturday night.

Micromatic
Gem blade (3)
Palmolive, squished into a dish with a little leftover rosewood soap.
Kent H8 - I should pay more attention, I thought I had a bk8, turns out it's a H8, still for £30 new I'm happy, I even like it :D
Speick aftershave

Best shave so far with the micromatic, the odd little rough patch but I'm still being quite careful with this razor. I'm liking it more and more with each shave, the 1912 is still a bit ahead though.

Some hand stropping beforehand, just because.

I'm finding the Gem blades a little fickle, some seem to last forever and others begin to rust after the first shave, hmmm.

Saturday

Butler 5/8
Neo's best badger brush
Irisch Moos
Alum
Nivea ASB
Acqua di Parma edc

Quite exceptionally nice shave, that, marred somewhat by the definite aroma of citrus urinal blocks from the otherwise excellent soap.

Re: Shave of the Day, w/c Saturday 20 February 2010

Sunday

Lord Tech
Feather (2)
Chinese Badger
Superdrug Pre-Shave splash
Arko SS (milled into a bowl)
Alum Block
Wilkinson (shop) ASB
Denim Black AS

Decided to try a milder razor with the feather, so got the Lord out, loaded the ammo whipped up the arko (luvly stuff) and a DFS was had, using feathers I might keep using the milder razors and go for the 3rd shave tomorrow with the Treet Starline. A couple of splashes of Denim Black AS (this stuff smells good). All in all a really good and relaxing shave today.

Have a good and peaceful day gents.

Mühle R89
Feather (1)
Trumpers Cocunut Cream (Face Lathered)
Trumpers (Vulfix) super badger travel brush

slight loss of concentration for a split second and cut on the adams apple. I was going great upto that point trying out a feather.

Re: Shave of the Day, w/c Saturday 20 February 2010

1930 Gillette New Regent
Shaving Shack Israeli blade
Col Conk Amber soap
Boots Distilled Witchazel
L'Oreal Men Expert 24hr Hydrating Post-Shave Balm

Today I got the best lather ever out of the Col Conk - previously hadn't been impressed with it at all, but I finally hit on the right technique and it left my skin slippery as an eel. Splashing my face between each pass prior to re-lathering, it was almost impossible to shift the slippery surface left behind. As a result - not a single speck of redness; I was able to get the awkward areas cleared without any razorburn that's usually the result of trying.
