Ahhhh, much better shave three passes (WTG, XTG & ATG) took my time and the least amout of pressure and gave me the result of a BBS shave :cool: :shave

Just shows that you can have a bad day sometimes like I did yesterday.
 
Thursday

Days stubble growth to attack with the razor after suffering a nasty nick on Tuesday...

Hot shower

Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Derby (2nd shave with this blade)
Brush: EJ Badger
ToOBS sandalwood soap

Took my time shaving, worked up a good lather, used the weight of the razor instead of trying to 'drag' the razor.
Shaved WTG, XTG x2, touched up little areas that needed it - 'tache area, jawline near the earlobes...

Styptic pencil, Nivea sensitive aftershave balm.

Result: SMOOTH shave. Couple of tiny nicks on the 'tache area.

when i got home to day there was a nice surprise i had a package from tuftey and it was the Indian godrej cream he pif me so not to waste time i jumped in the shower then went to work lathering this cream and one word WOW i love it. It has a nice menthol smell great lube and i could have easily got 4 passes maybe five out of it. Skin felt great after it and i was bbs what a great cream i liked it so much i ordered two lime tubes of the bay thanks again tuftey

Permasharp super - Some say these are 'Iridiums' in disguise , First shave was excellent .Very similar to the Iridiums indeed
Provence sante soap - nice , tres nice .
crema 3p - I really like this been using it for a few weeks now , nice menthol not too strong, easy to apply , need only a little bit.

Very nice shave today

3 passes: WTG, XTG, XTG plus touch-ups.

Result: DFS.

Still getting used to the soap; at least this time the lather didn't collapse on my face. The amount of lather produced was sufficient for three passes with enough left deep in the brush for touching-up, but I do think I need to invest in a brush with a bit more backbone than the Kent, which, while great for bowl-lathering creams, doesn't seem to work as well with soap.
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Figured I'd get the #16 out to get rid of two days worth of whiskers. This is by far the heaviest razor (82g) in my rotation, and zero pressure's the way to go. Very nice balance and quite fun for a change of pace.

Thursday. Got a few days growth to get rid of.

Prep:- Hot shower

Music:- Radio 2, Simon Mayo

Soap:- MWF

Brush:- Progress 404 "Grosvenor"

Razor:- Bluebeards Revenge Scimitar

Blade:- Israeli Personna ( 2 ) / Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow

Post shave:- Alum block and aloe vera

1x WTG, 1x ATG 1x XTG

Used my Progress 404 Grosvenor brush for the first time! I was amazed how quickly it lathered the MWF! Excellent brush!

I also changed the blade after the first pass, the Israeli blade only seems average and the first pass today was over some serious growth.

All in all, an excellent shave :shave !
