Not quite BBS, but very comfortable shave with the Tech/Bulldog/Voskhod combo.

Hot shower
Hot flannel
Nanny's Warm spice hard soap scuttle lathered
Simpsons POLO 10 best badger brush
Merkur Progress short handle set at 2.5
Lord Platinum (1)
Cold rinse
Witch hazel
Boot's Freshwood aftershave

A lovely close and comfortable shave. A different Lord blade today. All Lord blades which I have used are smooth and forgiving. Not the sharpest out there but easy to use very nice
It's been snowing here all day and more forecast overnight.

Brian

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, white
NF Tubby 1, Nanny's soft soap - tea tree and aloe vera
ATT Atlas R1, Rapira SS (3)
cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

I'm really beginning to appreciate the extra bite (and closeness) from the R1... extra bite may vary if you're used to something more bitey! Not for use every single day, but the R1 makes a great partnership with my Weber. Definitely no extra touch-ups required, and smooth as the proverbial!

Cold Water
Ever Ready 1924
Gem PTFE (3)
Nanny's Scotch Pine Bowl Lathered
Simpsons Special Pure Badger
Proraso Green Tea & Oat A/S

Very good, DFS if not BBS. First time bowl lathering, found it a lot easier than face lathering, copious amounts of lather for 2nd and 3rd passes.

Evening, everybody.

Friday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 head with an iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum (6)
Brush: Wilko's cheapie
Shave soap: Mama Bear's Bay Rum
A/S: Pashana Bay Rum
Cologne: Versace Black Jeans

Terrific.

Did you start or finish with the Permasharp you mentioned?

Sorry for the really late reply. I finished with the Permasharp - just a little tidy up around my chin and upper lip and an ATG pass under my chin.

It was my fourth use of the blade and it did OK. In fact, I just had a full shave with it today and decided, toward the end of my 3rd pass, that it's probably past its best.
