Cracking sound track to that film. The film's a real favourite of mine. Very stylish 1930s vibe to it.

Good afternoon.

Prep: Nivea Sensitive Face Wash, Hot Flannel, White Proraso Pre/Post
Cream: T&H Lavender
Brush: Duke 3 Best
Razor: Weber Pol/Bulldog
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel (1)
Post: Alum, Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Weleda Balm
A/S: TOBS Jermyn Street

Excellent shave with Weber/Rapira Swedish combination :)

Today's shave

Merkur 37 slant bar
Feather blade
MWF
Kent BK8 Brush

Close and smooth:)

Well that's the first shave with a slant bar.

The first time I put this to my face its a bit :icon_eek: but then I said stop being poofy you can shave with a straight razor for fucks sake! Once I found the correct angle all went well....got a little weeper under the chin....so they do like to bite then! A bit more practice required

The shave was surprisingly....nice and not what I was expecting at all. And I'm glad that TSR was discussing them so I didn't go stumbling around like a complete numbskull :icon_razz:

Friday 4th

Hot shower
Hot flannel
Nannys Warm Spice hard soap scuttle lathered
Kent BK8 brush
Merkur 37c slant
Gillette 7 oclock Black Super Platinum (2)
Cold rinse

A fine clean shave. The slant works a treat. The blade wasn't at its best as I progressed. One half sempt to be a bit rough and tuggy. I managed to complete the shave.
I've put a Gillette 7 oclock yellow in for tomorrows shave.

Hot flannel
Proraso Pre, menthol
T&H 1805 shaving Cream
NF Tubby 1 brush
Weber shiny head razor, Perma-sharp (1)
Cold splash
Alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

Here's a thought... why don't I just use the Weber and Perma-sharps from now on and get perfect results every time?
I could concentrate my acquisition lust on brushes and soaps.
Then I wouldn't get to tinker around with vintage Gillettes and indulge myself in the quest for exotic blades

...hmmm

Here's something to think about......some shaves are more perfect than others. There's still lots of razor/blade combos to try. Who knows, you might discover an even more perfecter set up.

This is not meant to enable you in any way.......just stating a fact. I just would hate to see you missing any positive life changing opportunity that might be out there. It would be tragic. No pressure at all though.
